All of a sudden, my clock alarm does not make a sound. It is silent. I have checked on the tones and they are turned up as loud as they will go.

Make sure u hv right time set.
Then go to Tools> alarm clock>new alarm> name>enter time for alarm to ring>select alarm alert tone> set volume..
NOTE: Yo handset shld be in 'Loud' ring style not silent

Go to Settings > SOUND > Silent mode (No sounds except media and alarms).
If this is ticked (on), it means alarm will sound even if you make the phone silent.
Regarding the loud sound even after reducing ringer volume, no idea for this.

Same problem here. Suddenly all alarms are being ignored. Nothing.
One things it needs to be is reliable. I'll wait and see if it comes back as it seems to have done in your case. But this is a little disconcerting...

the phone enters silent mode when you hold down the # key for 5 seconds. Hold this key to enter and exit silent mode.

These clocks are built to operate at 50 cycles(Europe) and 60 cycles(USA) and this is controlled by the audible alarm setting. The clock has to be set on the loudest (highest tone) alarm for the clock to operate at the correct setting. You control the loudness of the alarm by pushing the minus button (second from the right) repeatedly until you here the loudest (highest) sounding tone. Leave it at that setting and the clock will work fine.

Go to settings on your phone menu and go to sound and change key pad tones to silent or none or volume zero then for the buttons go to shortcuts and on the right soft key change from web to alarm clock! if not then this setting may not be available on your phone.

You go to:
main menu->settings->sounds & alerts (or something like that)-> vibrating alert
Open this and you will find 3 choises (on,on if silent, off). Choose "ON".
Then vibrating alert will be always turned ON,even if You putt it on "silent".
