I dont have a cd how can i reinstall my printer x1185 all in one

Try going to the printer manufacturers website, go to driver downloads/support file printer info choose os and download the new software to a folder, create a new folder on your desktop and name it newprintersoftware. This will be the software you need for new installation. same as the cd.

Why is the webpage now helping?
I would go to Lexmark's download page (here) and follow the prompts for zone and country.
Simply type "X1185" in the search bar that says: "Search by Model".
It will lead you to the correct driver for Windows.
Just download the file and run it.

Does it install the driver?
Can you print?

I suggest you;

1.) uninstall your X1185
2.) download the latest driver for the X1185 at
http://downloads.lexmark.com/cgi-perl/downloads.cgi?lxkprod=Lexmark+X1185
(Be sure to select the driver which corresponds to the Operating System you are running on your PC)
3.) reinstall the X1185 using the newly downloaded driver

this driver is for windows xp/2003 for the x1185

You have to install a programe called: ABBY FineReader 5.0 Sprint. Although there are newer editions available, this is the programme that comes with the cd and is available to download free of the net. Hope this helps.
