i would assume somebody has to open the Laptop and clean the logic board or even replac it. If you want to pay to have somebody do it for you there is a third party Acer Repair Service. However, if you want to do it yourself, the part is available on ebay. Here's an Acer Repair guide. Maybe a tech savy friend can do it for you.

Since mouse pads are not waterproof and the manufacters have the bad habit to place motherboards under them you propably damaged it....
But you should give a try and take off the pad(pc off)and clean the surfaces topic with a contact cleaner product...if this not work you'll need a new m/b :-(

Touchpad drag and drop from surveys

This can be accomplished a couple of ways. Depending on the model of your computer there may be a pressure sensitive switch under the mouse pad that pressing a little harder will actuate. Another method is there might be 'virtual' mouse buttons on your trackpad. Put one finger in the flower left corner and drag on the pad with another. Finally, there is a setting for a double click drag and drop. Tap the mouse pad twice and on the second tap keep your finger on the pad and move it. Good luck!

My touch screen doesnt want to work. the i didnt drop it or anything it just stoped working? how do i fix it

Hi
there could be a couple of issues for a reason, there could be a purely electronic problem with the touch or there is also a possibility that you might have touched it with static like when you sit on a plastic or leather chair for a long while and just picked up a call causing static to electrocute your touch screen
try taking it to a cellphone repair shop to get a better idea

hope this helps

Pointer on track pad moves on its own. it does not move along with finger and goes in jerky direction elsewhere.

did water get on the track pad? Try connecting an external mouse to get control over your pointer, and navigate to system preferences/track pad. See if you can play around with the settings, but if the external mouse works ok, it sounds like water may have come in contact with your track pad.

If it works with an external keyboard and mouse then you need to replace the palmrest.

I have a Microsoft Wireless notebook optical mouse 3000 that my son dropped in the dog's water dish. We have dried it out and put in new batteries, but it won't light up. I tried my other mouse and put new...

the one dropped in the water is probably no good anymore could have corrosion from the water how long did you let it dry.

if you want to use your other mouse first uninstall driver for dog water mouse then restart if the usb has reset on it then press
was the other mouse combo keyboard

DS lite freezes during game play

their are 3 solutions but i cant asure that it will work
1. maybe when they play ds games like pac n roll the ds cardejects for some reason so sulution 1 is put tape ontop of the ds gamecard slot while their playin a ds game
2 maybe when they play a gba game the game pak is being hit by their chests or bellies so the card is moving a bit and the game freezes so put a big distance between the ds and the chest or belly
3. dont wiggle the ds alot and do you drop it often because if it is dropt often the ds will freeze often
