Connected Samsung TV. All works fine except occasionally the sound cuts off. If I change channels sound is OK again?

Probably it is a mess in the connection of cables. Do you have the RCA cables ( Yellow-Red-White) , make the connection correct. the TV should be working on RF connector. ( is it connected so ) and what is the sound appears, for the video channel or for the TV??

Just do a hard reset to this set and check. Unplug the TV from AC mains wall socket, and re-plug it back after 10 minutes or so. This must make it a hard reset.

If audio output is OK, the fault must be to its horizontal output section. Check and replace horizontal output transformer, and associated damaged component/s.

Yep, same problem with mine. After many trial fixes, I discovered that it's the HDMI connection. I tried two different new HDMI cables in two of HDMI ports on the TV, but still got intermittent sound. The only way I solved it was going to component cables (RGB) with a separate audio cable. Works great now. Other Web sites say that HDMI connections do not always electronically "handshake" well between devices. Not sure how this HDMI problem can be permanently fixed, but using the component connection works fine.

Is the TV connected using the HDMI port? If so then connect using the component instead and see what happens. If it works ok then possibly a software upgrade on the TV or your sky box.

Unplug it and plug it in again. This worked for me and I have a very similar problem occasionally. Turning the power off and on with the remote will not work.

try to check your audio video chord check it if it is open. you didnt mention if your tv has video channel (tuner). if your tv video channel is o.k then the problem of your tv is in the video switcher inputs. in this case you need a service technician.
