hi you go to this site Visit http://crssupport.com/zio_corp/user/inde... register & give them serial number of unit & part no on disk - they should reply with the serial number for the software installation best of luck
If you Google "How to register a "fill in the blank" tv, you should derive a link to the information for the specific brand. Each brand will have its own registration links. Have your receipt, brand, model, and serial number handy. Often, they like to have the date of purchase and place of purchase. You might want to record this sort of information in your user manual and probably staple the receipt in such. Now where would to store the guide so you could always find that receipt? Can't hurt to scan a copy and store such on the computer in a "receipts" file.
Does the serial number on the disk match the one given on receipt/box? Sometimes people return stuff and get it in wrong box, especially if there's something wrong with the one they bought. It could also be registered to someone already, which also happens with used stuff. I'd contact seller, if possible, or look up the publisher for help tracing the problem.
There is usually at least a 90-day warranty. http://www.vizio.com/support/
Here is a link to Vizio customer support. They should be able to do something. You need to have a receipt probably. Also you will need model and serial numbers.Serial number should be on the back, maybe by the A/V inputs. If no receipt, did you register it?If you didn't,the credit card statement may help.Good luck.
