How do I fix........Getting rid of background noise coming from my JVC KWV21BT?

I just had this unit installed in my vehicle last night.....everything good, except for background noise is always on & coming from unit via speakers. It's like you have the volume all the way up with no music on....but it's there even if volume is at zero. Can this be fixed via settings, etc.?

You have described a grounding issue. This "hiss" is due to one or more speakers &/or the radio itself not grounded properly which is producing the "hiss". I would take it back to the installer and have him correct this problem. They have a responsibility to make sure it's working 100%.

Last night the red rings appeared on my 360 turned it off and then back on it started showing the green lights then smoke started coming out of the vent holes on top of the unit

One red Light means your system is overheating, The reason why its overheat is because your GPU chip is getting separated from your motherboard as these console are very common with these issues. You must have a professional handle your system.

Just purchased a new galaxy dx959. Coax and k40 10k watt antenna. Installed it in my peterbilt 379. I have a lot of background noise. I tried unhooking the coax from back of radio and the noise goes...

You probably have the 959 that has a MOSFET final. It is not recommended that you try to get more power/mod by just turning pots. This can shorten the life of the MOSFET drastically. I normally set the power output to 7 watts and the mod to 100%. This give around 30 watts peak on AM and around 25-30 watts sideband. You need proper test equipment to align the radio.

As far as background noise, this type of radio does have more that others. Make sure the Noise blanker and ANL are turned on. If you are getting noise from equipment in the vehicle, you should take your truck to a good CB shop. They can find out what is causing the noise and fix it.

Hello, I have a Haier window AC unit that makes the worst noises- sounds like a crinckeling plastic bag is being beaten around inside. It seems to be water building up, but there is no drainage holes in...

Yeah the water that has pooled underneath is being hit by the fan, and throwing it everywhere. Don't be alarm it wont hurt nothing except the noise is irritating specially at night. Getting rid of the water will get rid of the noise.

JVC HD-70FH96 both HDMI problems

Have you been using a flashlight behind the TV. These TV's have a sensor that shuts off the unit when the rear cover is removed (by sensing light). You may have tripped this. I think you can fix this in the service menu somehow but I can't remember.

Background noise

I'm not an expert but I am a daily operator. First check your ground connection, just because the radio turns on doesn't mean the ground is good enough. If this unit is mobile there are several things you can do to reduce the noise. First you need to find out if the noise is coming in thruogh the antena or the power supply; turn on your radio and vehicle, unhook the antena. If the noise goes away or is reduced you know that it is RF noise. this is interference from some outside source, powerlines, TV, just about any thing that uses electricity or electronics can cause noise. relocating the antena may help. Check you antena connections. Check your SWR. This is only a few of the things you can check.

Loud, screeching noise when taking a message

Managed to clear it myself. After making several cell phone calls to my machine last night and unplugging it over and over, etc. I gave up. This morning I again unplugged everything, reset all the settings and called the machine several times. At first I kept getting the "noise", but eventually I was able to call and leave a normal sounding message. Can't really explain what "cured" it! In desparation I did shake the machine and give it a hard slap, but who knows what did it!

Power will not stay on

Sounds like you're not getting voltage on the accessory power lead. This is the red wire at the back of the deck, and it supplies power whenever the key is switched on. It's possible that your vehicle's radio fuse is blown.
