Missing LCD Stand Screws for Sharp Aquous 46" LC-46D62U

Hi,
I was wondering if anyone knew the size of the 4 long screws for a Sharp LC-46D62U 46" LCD TV to hold the LCDstand on. I already tried with sharp but they referred me to third party vendors all of which each one told me I had to buy the stand to get the screws. I already have the stand so I am stuck with no screws. The manual shows nothing about the size of the screws. So I am hoping someone with the same tv knows the size of the screws so I can go buy them at a hardware store.

    Try a toothpick for the length. Is it a screw or a bolt? Is metric or SAE?

    I use Metric Pan Phillips Machine screws M5-.80 x 50 and they work just fine on my Sharp LC-46D62U. The screws were purchased from Lowes.

Am not sure on size service manual doesnt say but there 2 1/2 long.

Missing parts for stand. Can parts be purchased?
I'd check on eBay. Many people will remove the stand and mount the TV to a wall or to a console stand. Discarding or selling the original stand. You can usually get them for far less than you'd pay for replacement parts.

How do you remove the bottom stand from the TV set so you can hang it on the wall? I have unscrewed the bottom of the stand, but there seems to be something internal keeping it attached to the TV.
Hi there,
Most flat TV's actually have the stand held on by 4 screws on the back of the TV, not the bottom. Look closely and you should see them down 4 small holes. These hold the stand on. I think what you may have done is taken the bottom plate of the stand.

How can i get the stand off of the tv to hang on the wall?
Before detaching the stand, unplug the AC cord from the AC INPUT terminal. Before performing work spread cushioning over the base area to lay the TV on. This will prevent it from being damaged.
With the hex key that came with the television stand remove the four screws from the bottom back of the television and remove the stand.
If you also wish to remove the post from the stand base unit you can remove the four screws that attach them.

I have a Sharp 26" LCD mODEL# lc-26sh12u and I lost the screws for the stand. There were 4 short, and 4 long hex head screws. Sharp does not carry them, and neither do the authorized repair facilities....

I can not remove the stand from my sony aquos tv.
With the 4 long screws removed, it should come out.

I can not remove the stand from my aquos 46 inch tv.
you will find 4 screws at the back of the tv about 4" inches from the bottom. lay the tv set flat on your bed. you will need a metric allen wrench to remove the 4 screw. once the 4 screws are removed slide the base away from the tv.
