I have a connex cx-4300 hp cb it will receive but won't send how do I fix this problem

I have CX-4600-T too. Mine gets way hot as well, I had a mod kit installed n it swings 215W peak power now. But the excessive heat is annoying, I think mine does have a fan in it though cause I know I felt air coming out the back before.

Take it to a good cb shop radioactiveradios do really good work on connex radios

You will need an SWR meter to check your antenna. FIRST.
I would find help at a local cb shop.. They SHOULDN"T CHARGE to help you SET the swr. only if you need a part or something ..
I don't charge to SET SWR"s .. only if the cust needs a insulating washer or another antenna, or new coax, so-239 etc... I would be glad to help you.. let me know if we can CB Shop Temple, TX

Radio setting for connex 4300

1. Band should be on D
2. 10khz switch off
3. PA, AM ,FM switch to AM

It has to be on high band d/a to talk on you're 40 basic channels and no you can not run this off a cig. plug it needs to go to the battery. This is an AM radio so it has to be on AM.

FM is just a form of modulation, not an actual frequency. The frequency doesn't change between any of the modes (LSB, USB, AM, FM, CW).

For example, if you are on channel 19 (27.185MHz) on AM (Amplitude Modulation,) switching to FM (Frequency Modulation) mode you would still be at 27.185MHz, but using a different form of modulation.
