Motorolai836 i went to charge my phone and it said invalid battery??? It is a year old and has had the same battery all this time. So I unhooked the charger and blew into the connections, thought maybe they were dusty. Then I plugged it in and it reads incompatible charger. I tried a different charger and same thing. Also tried a new battery. NOTHING. HELP! This phone is only a year old and is carried in my puse so it really has never been dropped. I only use about 50 mins a month. Should this really be quitting on me already????

It's the mini coin cell battery in the rear housing. You must take it to a service center

My spouse had to get out 1996 ford explorer boosted while i was at work,so that evening i tested the battery it had a charge of 12.4 and is about 5 years old so i bought a new battery ,i put the new...

A new battery should have approx 12.62 fully charged
It could be slightly more
If you ever see 13 volts, on an old battery, it is gone

You need a min of 12.5, to do any testing of your vehicle, or you charge it
It should hold 12.5 or more for 3 or 4 weeks, then charge, if you let the truck sit
unused.

Battery went dead

Most likely you have a bad battery you can check by taking out the battery and feeling on it if it is flat than its good if it has a bump on it than it is no good.

Invalid Battery

Totally discharging the battery is the way to go. But what you can also do to use your phone in the meantime is this. Plug your charger into the phone withOUT your battery in. It will tell you "Unable to Charge." When it says this, put the battery in. It might tell you "Invalid Battery" a couple more times, but it did eventually say "Charging Battery" for me. After that, simply turn the phone on and it will return to normal. This is when you drain the battery completely. Once I did that, I did not get the invalid battery error again.
