Cell phone my cell phone fell out of my pocket and into the toilet. the bottom half is working just fine but the screen is blank. Will i just have to let it dry out and can i help this process?
Sorry but oncce they get wet they never work the same again
It may come to life if you leave it dry a little while longer but the damage is done
You will find if it starts to work again that all sorts of faults will occur as time goes bye

If it's at the point where the screen isn't working properly, it's dead. If you have some kind of extended warranty, it may cover it, but there's no real way to bring it back from being water damaged, unfortunately.
dont turn it on, motherboard need to be cleaned in the isopropanol, if you dont have it just let it dry (put it into the cup with rice for few days) DONT TURN IT ON (at least for 5 days if you not sure if its dry) Use hair dryer from long distance to dry it. Even if you think that phone is dry it will be still wet. Your battery can be dead as well as screen. But if you are lucky it will work.
Dry the phone, battery, sim card, etc. with cloth and wrap each piece, phone and accessories, in newspaper. Place a few handfuls of rice into a plastic bag and then place the wrapped phone in the bag with rice. The newspaper wrapping avoids direct contact of rice with your phone because the dust from the rice can get into the small areas of the phone. The newspaper and rice will absorb moisture. Leave it there (with the bag open) at least 24 hrs.
You should have left it dry instead of turning it on, you probably have corrosion now, find a local place that works on phones to see if they'd work on it.
If you want to try to completely dry it, put it in rice for 24 hours minimum to draw out all moisture.
really the only thing to do in this case is to let it dry COMPLETELY before putting any power to it. if you let it dry completely now it may still work but if you tried it already and it failed i doubt it. try a new battery if it wont turn on. i dropped my nokia in the toilet and let it dry for 3 days then it worked; had a buddy spill his bottle of beer on my blackberry and after the defrost and over night it worked fine.... good luck
water might have entered inside your phone and so you have to contact near by sony ericcson repair shop because droplets of water might have damaged board so you need proper cleaning
Its better not to use it because even if it be repaired this will not be reliable.
best solution ?

if the phone didn't get wet or u can't see a visibly broken screen then ur lcd may still be working, u simply may need to re seat the ribbon cable that connects the lcd by un screwin the 4 screws that hold the display n pryin in open from the mid section of each side then use somthing flat to lift the connector n replacing it pressin firmly.
I dropped my phone in the toilet when it fell out of my back pocket. The best thing to do is dry it as well as possible and then leave it out to dry. I let my phone dry for approximately 2-4 weeks and now it's working again. I found this out after I went out and bought another phone. LRL from Texas.
