H there below is what is stated in the service manual and I suggest to change the power cord before the main PSU (Power Supply Unit)
SC 560 Zero Cross Error
When the power switch is turned on. The machine checks how many Zero-cross signals are generated during 500 ms. If the number of Zero-cross signals is more than 66 or less than 45 and the condition is detected more than 10 times this code is shown.
Cause is electrical noise in the supply from the power cord.
Solution
I hope this help you
Thanks J
SOURCE: Alert code
What is the message that should be display in the LCD display? The Alert light signals a problem the printer thinks it has and usually display amessage in the LCD display to help a user determine what may or may not need repair or service.

If both lights are flashing, it means the Waste Ink Pads in your printer are saturated with ink and the waste ink "protection" counter has exceeded its limit. The Waste Ink Pads should be replaced as soon as possible. You can overcome this problem temporarily by using the SSC utility - download from
http://www.ssclg.com/epsone.shtml
and use it to reset the Protection Counter. This will stop the lights flashing and restore normal operation.
However, remember that eventually ink will overflow from the waste ink area and make a dreadful mess, so you must change the waste ink pads before this happens. This requires the disassembly of the printer. This is quite straightforward once you know what to do.
If you decide to have a go at replacing the ink pads yourself, post a new comment, and I will provide further help.
