I called the 800 number on the instructions (800-231-9786),. I suffered through a confusing phone tree AND a 10 minute wait on hold. I was told that my 3 year old toaster oven is "fairly old" and that parts are no longer made for it.

Very frustrating. I expect a toaster over 1) to work and 2) to have parts available for 10 years after I purchase it. The ideas of a toaster oven as a "consumable" has terrible implications for our environment.

Top dial is Bake/Broil knob, it goes left to right. Starts with OFF @ 9 0-clock next is 100 dgre then @12 o-clock 180 Deg. is at top center next is 250 Deg. next 350 located opposite of off. Next @ 4 o-clock is 400 Deg. Next @ 5 o-clock is 450 Deg. and finally at the bottom at the 6 o-clock position is BROIL. The Center Knob is BAKE TIMER . Starts @ off position as 0, next @ 10 o-clock is 10-mins. Next @ 12 o-clock position is 20 mins. Next @ 2 o-clock pos. is 30 mins. Next @ 3 o-clock pos. is 40 mins. Next @ 5 o-clock pos. is 50 mins. Next and finial pos. is 60 mins. The Bottom knob is TOAST @ the 9 o-clock is is 0 next @ 11 o-clock pos. is Light , Next between the 12 & 1 o-clock pos. is MEDIUM and the final pos. @ 3 o-clock is DARK. TOAST.

I honestly believe that the burned element in my toaster oven is replaceable
like a burned out oven element or dryed element. I thought someone would
show me how to replace the element. That didn't happen. I am dubious
about the need for experts via a commitment to a specialists' plan.

You need to have where you can see break down on line, don't wait a day or so I want to go ahead and address the problem now! Thanks Jay Wes

I found that the heating element in the top front was burned off at the end. I removed the side cover and the ceramic insulator from the broken end. I then grabbed the broken end of the spring inside the glass tube and stretched it to where I could re-attach it to the connector. It now works after getting it back together.
If you attempt this repair, UNPLUG THE OVEN FIRST!
There is also a security screw at the bottom of the side cover.

same problem here, toaster works, then when I go turn on the oven ........nothing!
