Samsung sp47w3hf1x - no picture no sound I have no problem tv picture and sound on the remote but can not shut down the remote - when ignition switch on you hear a mali BRUM in the loudspeaker -- before the month had a convergence problem and replaced the STK 392-040 two pieces -- PLEASE HELP

It sounds like the box and TV are out of sync. If the DVR is shut off, turn off the TV manually (NOT with the remote.) The next time you hit the power on the remote, both units should power up together. Make sure the remote is pointed at both device at the same time and slowly sweep the remote to hit both of them while holding the power button. I have always used the cable/DVR remote to control my devices and left the TV remote in a basket for setup stuff only on the TV.

Do you have a separate Cable Box? It sounds like you are shutting off the signal to the TV and may have to push a 'TV' button the remote then the 'off' button to actually shut down the TV.

The tv also have a board that call the Ballast board could be dead too.This Ballast board only job are to ignite the tv projection lamp.

sounds like a bad color wheel

on dlp units there's a bulb that needs to be changed
avery 2-4 yrs..try and do that first..if that wont solve the problem..then try the color wheel if u here a humming noise before it shuts down.

Most likely the set has lost vertical sweep or the feedback from that circuit. This will shut the set down to prevent a horizontal line from burning the face of the CRT. This will have to be looked at by a technician.

has a very different problem because if the fuse does not ignite the fuse you have to do is check voltages with a manual of your computer

hi i dont suppose you have floor standing speakers next to it
as mine done that moved away speakers now all is fine

I have the same problem... It turns B&W
I can still hear the sound... however I can still turn the tv off when that happens

My shop had this problem yesterday. We had to change the DMD to correct it. One of the data lines was being drawn down intermitently. This doesn't eliminate the digital PCB, but, we have seen the DMD do this more than a digital. You should have an authorized shop do the repair.
