Hi Pete, okay there can be one of two reason for that fault.

1. check the motor wiring from the controller to the motor and if possible check the resistance of the motor by checking the brushes, if you have a smart meter disconnect the motor wires from the controller and take a resistance reading we looking at around 0.3 to 1 ohms.

2. Controller fault , i can test the controller for you free of charge , you simply pay the return postage..

Regards
Rob.

Testimonial: "I am away from home tonight but will try on Thursday. So I am looking for between 0.3 to 1.0 ohm across a healthy motor."

some of the four brush motors actually show a fault condition(short, 0 resistance) ) however it's red herring so most importantly the controller can see the motor resistance, depending on the age of the scooter , it most lively a Curtis controller , fully repairable..if required.

HUSBAND FLIPPED HIS PRIDE CELEBRITY X SCOOTER STOOD IT STRAIT UP IN THE AIR.NOW NOT WORKING.5 FLASHES

Five beeps? Maybe it's not the same as my Celebrity XL8 but my instruction manual talks of a 1+4 beep warning meaning low battery charge. It also suggests checking that the wiring harness connectors are all fully connected - that would include the battery terminals of course. If your hubby managed to do a wheelie this sounds a strong possibility if the batteries were dislodged. Anyway, I attach the page from my Celebrity XL8 manual, you can find other Celebrity manuals online. My congratulations to your husband, I've yet to master wheelies!

How can I get my computer out of safe mode?

With the machine unplugged from the wall remove the battery from the motherboard. Then with the machine still unplugged press the On button for 30 seconds to dissipate any remaining electrical charge on the motherboard. Then re-install the battery, plug the machine back into the wall and see if it will boot normally.

My quingo plus does not move either forward or back but electrics seem ok

Hi there sorry to hear your scooters got problems, one or two things could be wrong,

1 make sure the brake lever is engaged properly this will be located at the rear end of the scooter.
2 if the above does not work you could have a problem with the brake itself.
3 does the scooter beep when you turn it on or when you engage the wigwag in the forward motion.
4 if you still cannot get it going give me a call

Good luck

I have a celebrity scooter that powers up great and every thing seems to operate properly except it will not go forward or backward. It makes no sound when engaging thumb switch.

Make sure the drive lever/freewheel brake is engaged. Usually it is on the lower back bottom of the scooter or check your owner's manual.
Good luck!

DX-800 beeps with Incomplete Info Code = 720

Error Code 720: Cannot connect to the Pop Server. (Incorrect Pop Server IP Address) Pop Server is down.

Solution: Check the Pop Server IP Address. Contact the network Administrator

Regarding the beeping noises. The DX-800 has multiple settings for beeps, rings and the dialing monitor. If it is the latter, press MONITOR button once, then press the DOWN arrow, until silenced. Some ringer/beep settings are under Fax Parameters, some are in a special SERVICE MODE.

let us know if you can isolate which one and we can help turn it off. At least now you know what the 720 code means.

Good Luck!

My HP dv5000 laptop has AMI BIOS beep code - 4 beeps

It sounds like either RAM or VIDEO problem to me. (I can't remember the specific beep sequence for AMI bios errors).

Hard to diagnose in Laptops.... if it was a desktop you can just start swapping out the RAM DIMMS..... are you techo enough to check whether you have 1 or 2 RAM cards installed? If 2 then run it with each card in turn to see if it boots (indicating 1 faulty RAM stick). If only 1 then try running MEMTEST on it to see if any errors. (I like HIRENS if you have it... I think it usually has latest MEMTEST on it).

If your cards all pass then its very likely a video problem. If its onboard video with no expansion slot (likely in a laptop) then you may be buggered.

Let me know if you need a hand doing any of the above.
