ITunes is always the first choice for most of iPod users when it comes to transferring music from computer. It can help you transfer and backup files easily.

  1. Connect your iPod to PC via matched USB cable.
  2. Click the phone icon on the left corner of the interface. To manage your media files manually, you'd better go to "Options" under "Summary"tab, cancel "Automatically sync when this iPhone is connected" and check "Manually manage music and videos". Don't forget to click "Apply" when it's done.
  3. Import music into iTunes library from computer by clicking "File" and then "Add File to Library". Once transferred successfully, you can select the music icon on top to see all the songs.
  4. Click "Music" under "Settings" tab. Choose "Sync Music". You can either sync entire music library or selected playlists as you like. Then click "Sync" button at the bottom.

You need to download iTunes it's free on Apple's webpage or just type in apple.com/itunes after you install iTunes you can add your music to it from a file or folder you have your music in or use a CD and it will copy selected tracks to iTunes you can also make custom playlists for antything you favorite songs, birthday parties, or your favorite show tunes for example when an iPod is connected just sync the playlist or all music to it the same goes for videos, audiobooks, podcasts, and pictures just add and sync to the iPod

How do I charge a ipod mini and how do I install music

Depending on the age of the iPod, you charge it with a 21 pin iphone 3, 3GS, 4 or 4S or ipod charging lead or use a docking station, OR you use the new and smaller lightning lead which was used from iPhone 5, 6, 7, 8 and X (ten).

To install music you load iTunes to a laptop or desktop computer, register the iPod, set up and account with Apple iTunes and purchase music which is then installed on the iPod.

If you already have music on your computer, you can pay a fee, which Apple call 'Music Anywhere', which allows you to download music to Apple devices which you have purchased or stolen elsewhere.

Hello, I have a desktop PC an a laptop at home, I have itunes on my desktop and just installed it on my laptop yesterday. I want to get all my music onto my laptop itunes. Is there a way to import my music...

If you have an iPod, then use iTunes on your desktop to load up your iPod with your iTunes music.

Then, use a program like TouchCopy to copy your iPod content onto your laptop or straight to iTunes. TouchCopy lets you copy all your music, video, photos, contacts, notes, calendars, games and more from your iPod.

To copy your iPod music using TouchCopy, you will need to...
1. Download and install TouchCopy on your laptop. TouchCopy works with all iPod types and the iPhone. There are free PC and Mac downloads available from here
http://www.wideanglesoftware.com/touchcopy

2. Ensure that iTunes is closed before connecting your iPod. Then start TouchCopy and connect your iPod. TouchCopy will have fixed your iTunes preferences so that iTunes will not sync music or video with your iPod while TouchCopy is running. These changes are restored when you quit TouchCopy.

3. Use TouchCopy to copy all your iPod content to your laptop hard drive or straight into iTunes.

4. You can then use iTunes to re-sync your iPod, which will re-load your iPod with all your music and let you add new content to it too.

How do you download songs and sycronise ipod nano 2nd generation to computer 2nd hand ipod no instruction

1. Double-click on the "iTunes" icon to open the program and then transfer all of your music files into iTunes. To add music from CDs, simply load a CD into your computer's drive, wait for iTunes to see the playlist and then click "Import." To add music from another program,
go to the "File" menu and select "Add to Library." You will then be able to click on any music files you would like to transfer.
2. Plug your iPod into a USB port on your computer and wait for iTunes to automatically recognize the device. You will be asked to name and register your iPod, after which you can click "Finish" and begin to load music.
3. Click on "Library," found in the left hand column to reveal all of the music you have transfered to iTunes. To load songs onto your iPod, highlight one or more songs and then drag them to your iPod. Your iPod will be found in the same column where you found the library, under the name you chose earlier. As soon as you drop the files into your iPod, they will quickly copy.
4. Eject your iPod once you have loaded all of the music you'd like by clicking on the arrow next to your iPod's name. When the name disappears, you can remove the USB cable and begin enjoying your portable music.

NO FILES

your ipod won;t play videos.
but to put files on it, mount it to itunes and when the iPod mounts you will see the picture of the nano.
in that window click on manage music manually.
now click on the music folder and it will open.
in windows explorer open the file folder containing your music files.
click on a song and drag n drop it into the left most column of the music listing window in itunes.
it will load into you ipod.
One thing you will have to remember, Ipods will not load incompatable music or other files.
make sure your music is compatable.

Loading music

You need to use iTunes to load music on your iPod.

The Mass Storage area is separate from the iPods music storage area. It will not play music files that are loaded into the Mass Storage area.

iTunes is free from Apple.
