Make sure that you hooked up to the right line. Sounds like you are filling the tank instead of pressuring the trailer pipes. Sometimes there is a valve you must close to keep the city water from entering the fresh water tank. If you have your manual, check to see if you did it right.
yeah you need to connect the other hose because the mix valve just below that does not seal one or the other..those switches work with the water pressure..thats why the errror showed up..
The answer to your question is yes. First go to home depot or lowes and tell them you want an in line water filter for a refridgerator and you want that filter to have the brass or copper threaded connections already on the filter. While your there pick up a couple of stainless steel water lines. The fittings for the filter are going to be 1/4 inch fittings, so be sure to get the right size lines. Once your back home, pull the machine away from the wall, unplug it, jsut for safety, and turn the water off. The next thing you want to do is disconnect the old water line from the wall and from the water valve on the fridge. Before you hook up the filter make sure you note the water flow direction that should be on the side tellling you which way it should pass throught the filter. Hook up the line that will go from the wall to the filter but don't connect the valve yet. Once you got it connected to the wall get a bucket and place the line that goes to the valve in it and turn the water on. This way the filter is flushed before you hook it up to speed up the process of getting that bad water out. Ok, flush a few gallons, then hook the line to the valve, plug in the machine and your done. Allow a few cycles of ice to pass before you notice the difference. Good luck
If it came with the refrigerator then everything is hooked up with the exception of the water line in the back, which if you go to home depot you can ask for a stainless steel icemaker line and they'll get it for you. Then all you have to do is connect one end of the line to the faucet if there is one, and the other end to the valve which is at the lower right or left hand side, normally on the right if your standing behind it. Now if there isn't a water connection behind the fridge your going to have to locate a water supply and then when you get the icemaker line tell them you need a installation kit.
sounds like the water solenoid is bad. It is located normally bottom right as you look at the back of the frig. Its where your water line hooks up. Turn off the water and replace the water solenoid (water valve) good luck.
If the pipes were installed properly, then the hot is on the left, cold on right.
Hook it up that way, then set it on the smallest load possible, with hot water setting only. If you have hot water filling the basin, you have it hooked up properly.
If the icemaker did not stop right in the spot where the water fills the tray, without completing the cycle, you have an icemaker problem, but that is highly unlikely. More likely is that the water fill valve (the part right where the water line hooks onto the refrigerator) will have to be replaced.
(I hooked up the lines and water goes heywire) You hooked up the lines to what? If you changed the water valve you may have the dispenser and ice maker lines reversed along with the electrical connections to the top of the valves.
yes you need to hook up a line froun the cold water supply of the house to the water valve that is located at the back of the ref to the water valve that is down at the botton right corner
follow the water line from the top going into the icemaker down to the bottom there is where the valve is located behind the back cover
