Question about HP PSC 1315 All-In-One InkJet Printer

1 Answer

Feeding paper too early

The printer is feeding the paper a bit too early and then it creates a paper jam before it begins to print. When I open the print cartidage access door, the paper does not roll out automatically as it usually does. When I open the back of the hp, the paper automatically comes out. What do I do?

Try doing a reset. When you plug in the machine as soon as the lights flash. Hold the power and copy buttons down and allow the printer to do a memore reset.
That may help.

There is a feed clutch that engages that is probably sticking. Driving all the time, not part time.

There could also be a spring off causing some components to not engage.

Paper jam

Hi......................
How to Clear a Paper Jam on an HP Inkjet Printer?????
Paper jams are among the most common problem with HP inkjet printers. Follow these instructions to learn how to clear a paper jam so you can get back to work.

Instructions Things You'll Need
  • HP inkjet printer
    • 1 Disconnect the power cord from the back of the printer before you begin. With the power disconnected, you will protect yourself from being shocked. This is an important step when you are fixing any type of electronic device.
    • 2 Move your printer so that you'll have access the back panel. Unhinge the back access panel of the printer.
    • 3 Look for paper through the opened back panel. Remove any paper you find jammed.
    • 4 Close the back access panel. Make sure that it latches into place and looks the same way it did before you opened it.
    • 5 Open the front or top access panel. This is the panel you use to access ink cartridges. If the carriage that holds the ink cartridges moves, then you forgot to unplug the printer. Go back and do that now. Look for paper that may be jammed in this area of the printer.
    • 6 Remove any paper you find jammed here. There will be resistance from the paper feeder, so pull slowly or the paper will rip and create a more serious problem.
    • 7 Close the front access panel. Make sure that it latches back into place.
    • 8 Plug the printer in and attempt to print again. If you can print successfully, you have removed the paper jam.

Hope this will helpful to you...................

It has paper jam some times on the begining of trasfr belt sometimes middel of that and also it send two diffrent error messages 13.01 and 13.09?

1. 1
Switch off the printer and disconnect the power supply. Allow any residual charge to fade away before putting your hands or metal tools inside the chassis.
2. Step 2
Pin down the exact location of the jam. The three hot spots for a jam are the paper tray, anywhere between the feed tray and the print carriage, or between the print carriage and the output tray.
3. Step 3
Take off the front paper tray if the sheet got stuck while it was still in the front area of the printer. If the sheet jammed here, you should be able to see most of the paper.
4. Step 4
Pull on the sheet with both hands and steady pressure. Do not tug as you might rip the paper, leaving a chunk of it deeper in the machine.
5. Step 5
Open the back panel to reach paper jammed between the feed tray area and the print carriage of the all-in-one printer. Carefully remove the jammed paper from the machine.
6. Step 6
Use the carriage access door to reach a jam further inside the all-in-one printer. You may need to move the print carriage out of your way to clear the jam.
7. Step 7
Return any access panels to their closed and locked positions. Plug your printer back in and flip the power switch.

Printer error shows paper jam at paper tray and printer stops after printing 3 or 4 pages. I open and close the top access and printing resumes for 3 or 4 more pages...stops and shows paper jam at feed...

Try two things:

Fan the paper before placing in the tray.

Raise the humidity in the room to at least 40% to avoid electrostatic sticking of the paper. Store paper in 40% humidity area.
