Don't hit any more bumps. The problem could be in several areas. I'm going to say that you may have a loose capacitor inside If I had the radio here I could fix it but because the problem may be so spread it could be a lot of things Are you a truck driver? If you are take it to a CB shop at one of the many truck stops and see if they can fix it for you .

When i key my connex 3400 hp up the meter drops to 0

If this isn't the result of an incorrectly set switch (ie: the PA / CB switch set to PA, failure to modulate the carrier in SSB mode, set to CW etc.), it is likely to be an antenna / coax connection issue. Double check connectors at the radio and antenna. Remove and inspect for dirt corrosion, etc. Clean up and reconnect. Make sure fittings are at least hand tight. Check for solidly connected antenna mount to the car body. If the type that engages the lip of / or a body panel, make sure it isn't rusty. If a magnetic type, try placing on the center of the roof (if metal & look for evidence of water entry into the base of the mount) Check the entire length of the coaxial cable. Look for places where it may be damaged from pinching between body panels. Crushed, chafed, and cuts in the outer jacket indicate a problem with the way the coax has been routed. Make repairs / replace as needed with thinner diameter coax if needed or reroute away from pinch points. Lastly, check and adjust your antenna for minimum SWR with a meter. A match of 2.0:1 will be required to prevent damage to the radio while transmitting. A 1.1:1 match is ideal, but under most circumstances. a 1.5:1 to a 1.8:1 match is attainable with a little bit of effort.

I hope this helps & good luck!

2001 blazer makes a grinding or clicking noise during acceleration.

Yes, you need a brake job or clean the brake pads by taking off the tires, then the drums, wipe the inside of the drums of dirt, wipe the brakes off, and reassemble.

Fix my connex 3400 hb sideband button

Hi there, if you are talking about the Connex CX 3400 HP there is no sideband or SSB on this radio. It is only AM and FM 10 meter Ham radio. Many people do modify these radios to include the 11 meter frequencies which is the CB band. Maybe knowing the actual bands and their frequencies will help some too this radio does have 6 different bands ranging from (Band A. 28.015 thru 28.455) (Band B. 28.145 thru 28.585) (Band C. 28.115 thru 28.555) (Band D. 28.085 thru 28.525) (Band E. 28.055 thru 28.495) (Band F. 28.025 thru 28.465.) I hope this will help you. Bob

Static

Check your SQUELCH setting - that will make the 'hiss' sound if it is turned too far or bumped.
