Question about RCA Lyra RD1072 MP3 Player
I have a Hp Windows 7 laptop. what software do i need to download in order to be able to transfer music by USB cord to my mp3 player?
if you already have songs in your computer connect your mp3 player it will say open folder answer yes, then click on the corner to lower or move your window drag your song from your computer folder to that window usually e or f. to drag the song you need to click and hold down your left mouse button on your song and move it to your e folder then release button. another way is by click right button on song then choose copy from the list then go to your mp3 folder e and right click then paste.

You don't need the installer- Windows Media Player will find the device, then click on "Sync" at the top to download the music to your player.

for pc not recognizing-
Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard.

SOURCE: mp3 problem
One you plug in an MP3 player on a USB port it is normally recognized if you are using Windows XP. What you need to do is Open up My Computer then you will see your MP3 there under removable storage.
