SOURCE: After i remove all the appropiate lens caps and

Put the eyepiece with the largest number written on it into the focuser, do not use the 2x barlow. TRY AGAIN-- during the day time and practice focusing on a distant object.

The end with the FOCUSER is the UP end of the tube-- the mirror is on the bottom of the tube. Many beginners mount these BACKWARDS.

How to use the 40-114675 telescope, ive got it set up but carnt see anything. It came with a black circular card in the lens which i have taken out.How do i see anything? is card ment to be in or out thanks...

Light enters the front of the tube -- TAKE the lens cap off-- goes down to the bottom of the scope and its the primary mirror--- then bounces back up and hits the tiled secondary mirror which sends it OUT to the side into the focuser and the eyepiece. The largest the number on the eyepiece the LOWER the magnification. Start with your lowest magnification until you learn how you focus. Try this during the day time on a distant building or telephone pole.

The screen stays black. Yes, I have batteries, I do get instructions and images for video or camera, but I can no longer get a visual of anything the camera is aiming at. It's like there is a lens cap on...

Look at the front at the lens. Turn the camera to picture mode. Point the camera at a light above you. Take a few pictures and watch the lens.
You should be able to tell if is functioning correctly or if its broken. It sounds like it has been dropped.

Check whether the LCD screen of the Camera looks similar as given on the page.

If yes, click on the "Yes" button at the end of the page to create an online Repair Request for sending the Camera to the Sony Factory Service Center.

My S2 IS all of a sudden cannot see anything out of either the lcd screen or view finder. I can see all of the settings on those but just a blank screen. Yes, my cap cover is off. Any thoughts?

A stuck shutter is another common failure mode for digital cameras. The symptoms of a stuck or "sticky" shutter are very similar to CCD image sensor failure. The camera may take black pictures (for shutter stuck closed), or the pictures may be very bright and overexposed, especially when taken outdoors (for shutter stuck open).

To confirm a stuck shutter, put the camera in any mode other than "Auto", and turn the flash OFF (you don't want to blind yourself for the next step). Next look down the lens and take a picture. You should see a tiny flicker in the center of the lens as the shutter opens and closes. If no movement is seen, then you likely have a stuck shutter. If so, please see the following for further info and a simple fix that may help:

Blackness?

Have you tried reading the instructions? How long did you buy it? Try to press the pad or stick like a button inwards. That is how I get the image to go on my digital camera. Did it work?

LCD showing "remove len cap and press reset button" always

Simple! Read warnings carefully! It said "remove lens cap and press SET button"! So remove the lens cap and then press the SET button (or arrow downward in the four directions button)! You don´t need to RESET anything...

JVC GR-DX25EK camcorder

JVC has issued a notice on many models that bring up a "lens cap" error. However, the GR-DX25EK is not included. The model you have posted on its page(GR-DX95) is though. This problem is still very common with models that aren't on the said list, given that and the fact that your model is from the same series, you might get some consideration from JVC. No harm in trying. The listed models get a free repair. Heres a link to the notice from JVC: http://www.jvc.com/support/notification/index.jsp?pageID=2 Good luck
