No heat out vents/floor vents

usually the problem is a small vacuum leak for the hvac system. start by checking the small plastic hoses near the a/c drier (the black cylindrical thing) at rear of engine compartment on the passenger side. typically it is a black plastic hose about 1/8 inch thick. you car repair by using a short piece of vacuum hose as a splice to put the two pieces together, make sure the hose fits snuggly on the plastic hose. hope this helps

Heater only blowing out defrost vents

Open your hood and find a "T" connector right near the battery. Follow the line down below the battery (you will have to get under the Jeep). You will see that the line plugs into a 3 to 4 inch section of 3/16" tubing that is plugged onto a black in color, plastic box. Use a razor knife and trim off about 1/2" of this 3/16" tubing as it commonly cracks where it fits on the nipple of the black plastic box. The vacuum cannot build pressure properly with these cracks in this tubing, and therefore cause the selector door to malfunction when operating heat and a/c. It is a quick and easy five minute fix.

2002 Toyota Camry LE has no heat to the floor regardless of the setting

I temporarily fixed this issue on an 02 Camry last night . It has to do with the little plastic arm that opend the door to the floor vents. Get in driver's side and look under the dash toward the center on the cabin air box. There is a small white plastic bit with a cheanell in it and it i supposed to mate to white plastic bit with a little metal knob in the end. The plastic chanell wears out and allows the metal know to come free, hence the door to the floor vents wont open . It's quote obvious once you get down there and loot at it . Simply put the two pieces back together and its all good, creative use of a very small zip tie will fix this one for good.

Be sure the oven is unplugged.

There are two Phillips head screws on the very top of the outside of the cabinet above the vent.

When they're removed the vent grille just snaps out.
