Is there any way to remove the base from the Optiquest Q7 monitor? We would like to attach the monitor directly to the server rack.

On mine I pulled on the round cover where the base attaches to the screen. It came off and there are 4 screws underneath. Remove those screws that hold on the base

My monitor is fine a day ago and today it says RGB no input signal, type - optiquest Q7 Thanks for helping!

Check the VGA cable connections at both ends, also try the monitor on other PC to so you will know for sure if it is the monitor or the PC Video card problems.

How to open case of Optiquest Q7

Almost all LCD monitors use kind of the same enclosure. On the back or on the bottom there may be two screws. If so, remove them. If not, no worries. On the bottom you should find a couple of indentations in the plastic where the front and back join. I like to use a Radio Shack fiberglass flat bladed diddle stick. Put this into the indentation and push up. This should release the bottom. Now the trick. Use this diddle stick (it must be flat bladed) on the front. Using only your fingers gently lift the plastic case on the front away from the screen. You should see the metal case of the screen. Begining at the local right or left put the diddle stick between the metal only part of the screen and the plastic front. Reminder. This stick must be between the metal screen enclosure and the plastic front only. Once in this position, you can slide the stick upwards along the metal case. As you do the plastic case will pop away from the rear case. Provided there are no screws you missed. Now do the same on the other side and then the top. You should now have separated the front case from the rear case. Next take apart the metal shielding (usually screwed together). There may be metal tape placed in strategic places, make sure you gently unloosen this tape and reapply when you're finished. Hope you know what you're doing from here! No picture on monitor

The Q7 has a tendency to burn up transistors and a high voltage capacitor on the one half of the inverter board which is part of the power board.
I have repaired 1/2 dozen of these with that problem.
Only way to tell for sure would be to open it up and look at it.
If you can do that and send me a picture to [email protected], I may be able to confirm this.
The other possible problem could be a bad bulb, but since it is fairly new ? that is probably not the issue.

Flickers continuously

From what I have heard the isn't a great monitor and most say stay away. Sorry for the advice. There is one thing I would try, to increase the Hertz from 60 to at least 70...here is how: right click in an open area on your desktop...a box opens...->PROPERTIES->SETTINGS TAB->ADVANCE->MONITOR TAB-MONITOR SETTINGS there you'll see a drop down arrow->click on it a select 70HERTz ->APPLY-> OK...just for good measure, reboot...that may help..if not try the link below for more help Good luck...

Monitor flashes on then goes black.

I think you have the display shut off. the button on the bottom left will shut screen off. It will come on for a few seconds if you touch the screen, but will shut off again. just push the display button again and it should stay on.
