The software disk contains third party programs of which Sanyo gave you license to use. You can download separate programs but you will also need to purchase their license. For the connectivity if you are using windows XP then just plug-in your camera into the USB port and it will automatically install so you can copy your photos and videos. The CD has the following software:

Ulead Photo Explorer 8.5 SE Basic (Windows)/Photo Explorer for Mac 2.0 (Macintosh)
try using windows movie maker which is free and is in your menus under xp or vista-make sure you are using firewire only to download video-not usb-need lots of ram to work w/video!

No No No! Nero Don't know any differance If the movies you have downloaded NEW OR OLD are illegal or not
Nero is just a program that burns data to a dvd or cd disc
Try Unistalling the full program Vir - START - Settings - Control Panel - Add & remove programs
and then Re-Installing it Or better still
Download a cracked version of Nero Premium 7
from any of these links

I found the best way of editing the footage from these cameras is to put the DVD disc into your computer and copy the contents of the VIDEO_TS folder onto another folder on your hard drive. The uses a video editing application which is specifically designed for the MPEG format. I would highly recommend the low cost "Womble MPEG Video Wizard" which is available for a 30 day trial at www.womble.com.
