Remove contents from bottom of freezer. Turn ref/freezer off. Use the handle end of a screwdriver and carefully break up the ice build up from the bottom of the freezer. Find the condensate drain and remove ice build up. Find the condensate drain and remove ice or any kind of restriction from the drain line.
Or you can turn the refrigerator off for a day , mop up the water and blow out the condensate drain

SOURCE: refrigerator freezer leaking

your defrost drain is frozen or has algae blocking it its at the back of the freezer behind the evaporator cover. You can see it without removing the evaporator cover. You might or might not see the drain hole because of the ice now you can sit and poor hot water on it till it thaws then get a thin wire and run down the tube till its clear or sit there with a hair drier and thaw it .But if you don't mind a small investment ill tell you the best way to deal with it .Go to Lowe's or some where like that and buy you a eureka model 350 hand held steamer.Trust me it will be one of the best investments you'll ever make. You will find 1001 uses for it besides this and the steam will not damage your refrigerator and all the attachments make it very useful.remove the evaporator cover and take the steamer and melt the ice under the evaporator where the drain pan is. Then you will see the drain hole.Put the curved tip on the steamer an start clearing the drain hole now when you get it melted enough to where the curved tip makes a seal around the drain hole let the steam build then hold down the trigger till you hear it at the back of the refrigerator and your done put the evaporator cover back on then think of all the other uses for that steamer now I told whirlpool about it they tested it and now have it posted on their web site that will fix it easy. I hope this is good enough for a four box rateing lol

SOURCE: Freezer leaking water

The drain is plugged just below the coils in the back of the freezer. My fridge had the same problem and I found the hose (which can be accessed from the rear bottom) was plugged with mold. Also, i noticed the hose was connected to the water holding pan and was too close to the bottom and easy to plug. I removed it from the connector and just let it dangle in the holding pan.

SOURCE: Freezer leaking on Ge Profile

The drain is frozen over and water cannot escape when it defrosts. You will need to remove the back panel inside the freezer and run some hot water down the drain until it has thawed. Hope this helps

SOURCE: Ice build up on bottom of freezer. Water leaks out.

Your problem is possibly one of two things. The ice maker is leaking or the defrost tray behind the rear panel inside freezer back wall is clogged with ice or something else. If you know its not the ice maker unplug the refrigerator and remove the back panel to see if the drain is blocked there, Let me know, Sea Breeze

My Maytag MZD2766GES is leaking water to the bottom of my freezer, which, when it get alot starts leaking all over the floor. where is this coming from?

Hello,

The water is from the melted frost of the defrost cycle. The drain at the bottom of the back wall of the freezer is blocked so instead of the water draining into the pan where it will evaperate,it's pooling on the freezer floor and freezing, in many case when the floor indent is full the water will leak onto the floor.By pulling the refrigerator out from the wall, there will be a tube behind the service panel on the right side when looking at it from the rear, that tube can be removed and cleared, then clear the nozzle it connects to inside the freezer.

I hope this helps you to stop the leak,
Gene

My Maytag side-by-side refrigerator/freezer Leak

There is a pan and drain hose under the freezer coil that is there to catch any water when the freezer goes into defrost. I feel strongly that is where you will find your leak.
I hope this helps.

Water setteling on bottom of freezer side and freezing also leaking. 2 fridges both doing the same thing . leaking on the inside and freezing and underneath water is leaking.

Clean out the defrost drain. There is a drain in the freezer that lets all the defrost water run under the fridge. If that gets clogged then all the water runs into the freezer and can even leak onto the floor

My freezer has water that leaks into the bottom and freezes but water also leaks out onto the floor

Inside the freezer at the bottom in the back there's a drain hole that must be clogged and the water from every defrost cycle freezes up and make it worse , so first pour hot water into the drain to melt the ice and keep pouring until it goes through .Keep the drain clean doing this every 3 or 4 months.

Samsung Fridge Freezer leaking water

hi August.
Cause: A blocked defrost drain is one of the most common causes of water leakage. This happens when food particles or other debris clogs up the drain hose, which can lead to ice buildup and, eventually, water leaking out of the freezer and refrigerator.
3 common refrigerator problems you can easily fix yourself

The freezer drain hose will drain the defrost water into a drip pan at the bottom of the freezer. When this pan becomes full, it will leak water onto the floor. This is a regular maintenance task whenever the freezer defrosts. Empty the drip pan during the defrost cycle.
How to Fix Water Leaking From the Bottom of Freezer

Why is my fridge leaking water on the floor? If the refrigerator is leaking water it's possible that the refrigerator has a clogged or freezing defrost drain. If the defrost drain freezes the defrost water will overflow the drain and drip down to the bottom of the compartment, If enough water accumulates in the bottom it can run out onto the floor.
