Point your web browser at http://www.gmail.com
If another account comes up, sign out of it by clicking the avatar in the upper-right then clicking "Sign out."
If you then still can't sign in to your account, click the "Need help?" link on the sign-in page.

Just click on remove option and on the next screen that comes up left click mouse pointer on the account you wish to remove.
This removes the account from the cookie that stores your default preferences on the computer you used. So once removed it no longer shows up in the default list of accounts like in the picture above on the computer. It does not remove the account from Gmail just from the cookie file on your computer. You can add it back at any time
