Could be. Yet you may only need to adjust the springs and not replace them.. In case you have roll up/ sectional garage door, it should be quite easy you need to release the traveler from the rail so you can open and close the door manually/by hand then, while open the door on the knee level leave the door. If it falls down the springs need adjustment. In general the door should stay at the same position on every stage it is while pulling it up and down. If the door falls/ closes down not enough tension on springs, if door opens up too much tension on springs. If door acts funny.like close when close to the floor and jump up when its futher more open, it means that you don't have the matching springs for the weight of your garage.
there are two nylon ropes that hook the door hinges to the door springs on the left and right side of the dishwasher.usually with time of rope breaks and the door stars to fall down.to fix this pull the unit out and look for the broken rope on both sides of unit at the botom.the new ropes comes in a kit and are abt $15.00.it contains two ropes and new wheel assly.u dont realyy have 2 chge wheels unless they are broken.but chg both ropes.to get rid of that squeeky noise aplly some bearing grease on the rollers over which the rope slides.that will take care of it.
You have 1 of 2 problems on this 35 year old DW... 1. The water solenoid is out.....need replacing. 2. The timer is going bad (has gone bad)...needs replacing....what happens over the years...with timers is that the teeth wear out , break,, wear down, and will not engage specific functions of the dishwasher as in activating the water solenoid. The odds are these parts will be cheap...but having been in the industry for 35 years...I have found that often when you install a new part in an old unit ....it places a load on all the old parts...that they are not used to...and other parts start to fail...you will probably be better off buying a new one....hopefully (and probably) the last you will ever need since you only use it once a week.
you either have a bent door hinge or a broken door spring. check the hinges by opening the door and see if it opens past 90 degrees. if it leans towards the floor then the hinges are bent. if not then your door springs are broken off. you can check this by seeing if the door "feels" heavy when opening. either way the door should close tight against the frame when up and the light should not come on without opening the door.
Oddly enough, the switch holder is called a "door hook". For this model, it is part # F3020-1200 in case that is bad.
The hook assembly that protrudes from the door is called the "door key".
If you gently push up on the door key there should be spring tension. If it just flop right up, the spring is off inside.
Normally the problem is not the spring, but a broken spring mounting tab on the door key or the inner door panel.
If it's the door panel,it's usually easier and cheaper to use epoxy and some kind of hardware to fashion a new spring mount.
The door key is easy to replace or repair if that's the issue.
Normally you have to separate the door panels (as shown in the attached photo)and then you'll see the screws you need to remove.
Or you can watch a YouTube video (not a video I made) here that demonstrates how it's done.
The best place to order parts for this brand is Tritronics. Or you can call them toll-free at 866-779-5835. Their Web site will be down until Jan. 2nd.

You probably cant replace the door because usually they produce a small run of these players and then create a new model and discontinue the old one very quickly. My suggestion is to look if there is a small button around the area the tab would normally go to when you close the door. If you can see this button try to find someting that would keep it pressed down. This tricks the player into thinking that the door is closed. WARNING: This button also activates the laser reading unit so you must have a dvd loaded before you press the button so you dont accidently look straight into the laser unit. IF YOU LOOK INTO THE LASER YOU CAN CAUSE PERMANENT EYE DAMAGE OR EVEN BLINDNESS.
