Sir
watch carefully at the mechanical portion if the pinch roller at the cassette running path is loose or slipped out.
look the capstan motor shaft whether there any clogged dirt or it has become tight, use CRC spry to clean it. loose the head drum with finger.remember do not touch the scanning chip on the drum.

SOURCE: Tape deck won't eject tape

The tape might be wrapped around the head or the capstan. The mechanism is delicate so you risk more damage by trying yourself - check with some of the repair shops on the Fixya home page for prices to remove the tape.

Canon ZR-800 Mini DV Camcorder tape stuck

The way I can get a tape unjammed on my Sony camera is to remove the battery, plug the camera into the AC charger that is plugged into the wall outlet. Then power the camera on, wait a few seconds. Then unplug the charger from the outlet, wait a few more seconds (camera still in "on" position) and then plug it back in. I have used this method at least 3 times to get the camera to release the tape and finally eject. However, the tape is usually pulled or stretched and I use a small flat head screwdriver to wind the tape back in, but expect that portion of the video to be ruined.

My handycam sony steady shot , the tape deck will not open

Try using the battery charger while attempting to eject it. The battery, although you may not know it, probably cannot supply the power needed to open the tape deck. If it makes a little Ding sound when you press the eject button, that means it is trying to eject the tape. Hope this helps!

Tape will not eject / Battery full

while the eject process is trying to happen remove the battery and replace it. keep initiating the eject process and removing the battery and it should finally eject. If you attempt to use the camera again put in a new tape so you don't lose a tape that contains footage you may want to save.

Tape ejects immdediately when I load tape.

I own a Sharp VL-Z1 DV video camera. I had this same problem and thought it was from using the ME Maxell tapes. I took the battery out of the unit and let it reset. Worked fine after that.

Eject light comes on after I start playing the tape

ksmitheram,

I had the same problem with my camcorder just awhile ago. This can reflect a low battery. Try plugging in the camcorder for a couple of hours without using it. Then try recording or playing back the tape with it plugged in. Unplug it and check again. If this does not work you may have to replace the tape head.
