Fault to the main power supply regulator section. Either it will be a separate board, or the part of main board. Check and replace damaged component/s at its main power regulator [SMPS] section circuit. Contact any service technician. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts.

It will be best to replace the power supply regulator board as card basis rather than making "Surgery" to it; which usually will make loss for both money and time. Even though you can make it right, it will cost around an amount equal to the cost of a new board; including the cost of (spare parts + service charge) More to say, most of the spare parts to it will be difficult to get from open electronic spare part market. This is true to most of the flat panel TV power supply boards; irrespective of its brand and screen size.

No Video or Sound after power outage

While it's certainly possible to fry the whole power supply or the DMD board, it's more likely that you've blown a capacitor. This same situation happened to my brother's TV after a power outage. I told him to unplug it for a half hour and that didn't help. He left it unplugged and when I finally got around to open it up the following week, I turned it on and worked. (I told him I fixed it).

Unfortunately the same thing happened after the next power outage so I opened it up and replaced two leaking capacitors by the power cord. It has yet to fail again after numerous power outages.

So first thing to try is leaving it unplugged for a few hours or even a day. Keep your fingers crossed that it doesn't happen again. If it does, either you or someone else should open it up and check for leaking or blown capacitors.

Just had a power outage and now my TV will not come back on. Just flashes 3 consecutive flashes then a pause and then 3 more flashes. Tried unplugging and letting it sit, tried power button on remote and...

I hate to tell you that this happened to me last week and mine is 18 months old. after calling toshiba and going through all troubleshooting, nothing worked. they referred me to a service center near me and the repair is $466!!!!! I have lots of power outages so they can seriously damage a tv (the motherboard to be specific). Mine is the 42 inch 535U. get a surge protector for your cable and ask your electric company to install a power shield on the meter or a surge arrester.. good luck.

TV won't turn on

The voltage change may have affected your t.v transformer. Get it replaced. It is a small and cheap device. When having one from the market, go for the best one, or else the new one too may go out soon. This may happen again if you are not cautious. Unplug the t.v every time after use and don't let it work when there is voltage fluctuations or lightning.

KDF70XBR950 red power light belinks 6 times repeatedly

Hi.

You have a power board error, and TV is in protect mode. This had been caused by the power surges.

Try leaving the TV disconnected from power (unplug cord) for several hours, or overnight.
This will allow PSU capacitors full discharge and can fix PSU fault after power surge. If it does not correct the problem , then there is a faulty component.
In that case the TV must be tested and repaired by a technician.

Regards.

DCT6412 DVR Box

When that happens its most likley you had a power outage and the box reset.  Well kinda reset but not all the way.  You can unplug the power and wait about 10sec and plug it back in and wait a few min to a few hours, and If that doesn't work get a new box.

Tv dont come on

Sounds like the typical power surge created by the outage has caused a power supply problem inside your TV. IF that is it, there not much you can do yourself.
