Check your crank sensor, it bolts to the block on right rear and goes down into the trans bellhousing . You might have got the wire pinched between the trans and the engine.
Basically this means that there is a problem with the Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor or circuit. The PCM detects that the actual MAF sensor frequency signal is not within a predetermined range of the calculated MAF value for more than 4.0 seconds. I would try cleaning out your MAF sensor with some carb cleaner and reseting the check engine light to see if it comes back on. If it does, get back on here and let us know and we will walk you through some other things you can try. Cleaning it out will be the easiest/cheapest thing for you to try right now. Good luck. Thanks for an honest rating and for using FixYa.

Here is the firing order diagram for the 5.0 liter (305), 5.7 liter (350) and the 7.4 liter (454) V-8 engines (note position of locking latches/screws between the 3 and 6 and the 1 and 2 terminals on the distributor cap). Let me know if you need the 4.3 liter V-6 engine diagram (hopefully not in a 2500 series truck) or if you require any further assistance.

it has an ignition control module that takes the place of distributor, cap, and rotor. it is located under the ignition coils the spark plug wires go to and is held in place by the same retaining bolts that secure the two coils. it fires the 2 cylinders at a time 1 and 4 and then 2 and 3. the ICM has 2 cable connection recepticals.. also it uses a crankshaft position sensor to know when to fire after you start the motor. it is located to the lower left of the ignition coils and inserts into the crankcase and is held in place by 1 small bolt and has a connector plug to it.
