Do you need a hot water supply into a hoover six 1300

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,

If it has only one water supply pipe the answer is clearly no as you will be aware ;-0)
If it needs a hot and cold supply, but you do not have a hot supply convenient, you will need to purchase, from a hardware (?) store, a 'Y' adapter. Upside down the single end (internal thread) screws into the cold water supply and the hot and cold washer pipes screw into the double end (external threads). The washer is fooled into thinking it has hot and cold! When it expects hot, it opens its hot valve but instead gets the cold water and has to heat it up. It will therefore take longer for the machine to do the washing. When it wants cold for rinses, it opens its cold valve and gets the same water! Simple ;-0)

If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck,

Does the Indesit model No W113 have to have hot and cold water intake or can I blank off the hot water intake?

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
In two words- NO and NO! No, you need it to be cold fill only (presumably) and No, you do not need to blank off the hot water intake.
You will need to purchase, from a hardware (?) store, a 'Y' adapter. Upside down the single end screws onto the cold water supply and the hot and cold was pipes from the washer screw onto the double end. The washer is fooled into thinking it has hot and cold! When it expects hot, it opens its hot valve but instead gets the cold water and has to heat it up. It will therefore take longer for the machine to do the washing. When it wants cold for rinses, it opens its cold valve and gets the same water! Simple ;-0)

Cold water doesn't get cold

Having same issue. Water cooler about a week old, in use in a small office with about 10 people and 2 5-gal water jugs consumed weekly.

The chiller for the cold water no longer works, and they display lights on the front and on/off switch in the back no longer light up. The hot water is working, I'm wondering if there is a potential recall issue with the unit.

No Cold Water

THE SOLENOID VAVLE IS DEFECTIVE,NEED TO REPLACE IT, ITS WERE THE HOT AND COLD HOSES CONNECT TO BEHIND THE WASHER WERE YOU CLEANED THE SCREEN. NEED TO TAKE IT OUT AND REPLACE. ITS A ONE PIECE IT SHOULD BE RED OR BLUE OR SUMTHIN LIKE THAT.

GET THE MODEL NO AND SERIAL NO AND SOURCE AROUND FOR A REPLACEMENT PART. ALWAYS GO WITH THE ORIGINAL PARTS SO IT WOULD LAST LONGER, THEN TO MODIFY AND COST YOU MORE MONEY, WHEN IT SHOULDNT.

Pre select cycle times are getting longer

try cleaning the hose screens and the screens in the water valve. tuen off the water supply and remove the hoses from the back of the machine as well as the water supply. check for sediment or other debris and replace the screens as needed and reconnect.
