Tripping electricity think it might be the bearing is worn

the hum is usually a bad motor? perhaps u hear what u think is a hum? the rattle can be due to bad bearings, for example transmission spin bearings, tub thrust washer bearing, loose belt or worn belt.

If its not the breaker it must be the motor!

If the motor has had massses of use it could be well worn

If its had little use it could be something in the casing casung it to "drag" when its running.

When a motor is under strain it pulls more current and thats what trips the breaker.

WITH IT UNPLUGGED - check over whatever you can get to and feel happy about with the motor - if there is nothing obvious then you could take the motor out and take it to an electrical repair shop to see if it can be fixed.

It could be bearings worn, bearings stuck, windings damaged, brushes worn, armature worn, etc.

If its not the obvious - get a professional to sort it.

You need to post the symptoms of your problem. And let us tell you what we think. But for what its worth here I go. Electric fuel pumps howl or moan. Carrier bearings on make noise when vehicle is moving down the road and make a squalling noise when the bearing is going bad but may be interpreted as a whine. Wheel bearings near the same as carrier bearings but they usually grind. So my guess is alternator or pulley bearing since they whine.

i think the belts come off if the bearing are gone then the pully wheel will wobble you need new bearings and probably a belt thankyou

this sounds more like two faults,, a motor fault and a bearing fault
if the bearings on the dryer drum have worn out and the drum is draging the sides of the dryer the poor old motor is working its hart out trying to turn the drum this is putting a lot of load on the motor and the motor is pulling a lot more amps to do the work,, this trips the trip in the fusebox good job too or the motor would catch fire! ,,,yes i did say "catch fire!!!" to test the drum bearings,
open the dryer door and see if you can lift the drum up if you can the bearings have worn out,,there should only be a small amount of lift in the drum
as for the motor,,,its had it now? its been cooked!

of course comparative cost buying and repairing make a cost reduction.if your compressor run smooth but tripping,make sure where on the right path of diagnosing of your compressor,we can check if the motor or compressor is shutting off the unit.disconnect the belt from pulley of the motor to compressor,run the motor if still tripping w/o load its better if you have calmp ammeter test,to check the current rating,if it is tripping motor is deffective replace the bearing.f motor is fine sr till tripping check the compressor also the crankcase bearing,replace worn out bearing.have a nice day dont forget to fix my rate.thanks a lot.

Check the dryer power cord for any signs of melting or charring. It could just be a loose connection. Then.....

Check the wall plug - there's a possibility the wall socket is either worn or the wiring to the socket isn't tight. The socket will need to be removed to check this, so make sure the power is off first.

EITHER THE MOTOR BRUSHES HAVE WORN OUT, OR THE BELT IS SLIPPING.

As the pressure in the compressor increases...so does the demand on the motor. It sounds like the motor is worn out. It could be the bearings or the windings. You could remove the motor and have it re-built(new bearings and windings) at an electrical shop or try to find a replacement on line. If the motor does not have sealed bearings you could try re-packing them with grease or oil. Most motors now have sealed bearings and when they wear out the motor will need them replaced. Check to see if the motor is still under warranty before having it repaired. Sometimes the motor will have a much longer warranty then the rest of the compressor and you may get the manufacturer to send you a new one.

Well, if the burnt smell has a tinge of ozone to it, or a tinge of plastic,
(and because it's the only other answer) I'd think that the motor that is turning the dryer drum is the problem.

For some reason, the motor isn't turning fast enough, so it's lugging, that means it's pulling more current, which eventually trips the circuit breaker.

It could be something as simple as lint in the rollers that the dryer drum rolls on. It could also be that there is lint built up inside the motor and it's not getting air through. It could be that the motor's bearings need oil
(you have to be careful with the kind of lubrication, adding too much oil attracts dust and lint and can make the motor bind up worse than it did before oiling.

So- first, disconnect or slide to the side, the belt that connects the motor to the drum -

see if the drum spins/rolls freely- if not check the rollers for binding up with lint, or being worn down so much that the drum is off the tracks.

see if the motor spins freely - if not check the bearings for signs of lubrication- you don't normally use oil- in dusty environments, instead you use dry graphite lubricant that doesn't attract dust.

Also, see if the axle the motor spins on is loose- does it move back and forth in the plane 90 degrees to the rotation- if it does, that can mean the bearings are worn and it may be time for a new motor, or a bearing repair
(not incredibly difficult, appliance repair can do it, I'd guess the local bicycle shop could also)
