Hi,

My F55 Polar watch is frozen and cannot get back to main menu. I was trying to change exercise frequency. I think the battery is OK.
Thanks.

HI dyer_christi

Most of these watches hold there memory whilst the batteries is still in. Unfortunately the best thing to do is to remove the battery and reset all data! I know this means you loose the hard work you have done, but I do not know of any other solution? Are you capable of changing the battery or would you like some help? I can provide additional assistance with this if you'd like. You need a small philips head screwdriver, some small tweezers and a clean bench with a few mins (say 30). if you'd like I'll help you through

How do I unlock settings (general, user, exercise)?

Shortcut battery with AC contact. AC can be found on the sides of watch movement(very tiny). You have to use pointed tweezers: one end on battery+, another on AC contact for three secs..

Change language back to english on polar heart rate monitor ft4

I had the same problem. So I will try to guide you by button push method (because I didn't understand anything in Dutch that said on the panel). If you look at the polar main wrist watch (easy to say) you will see 5 button. 2 of left and 3 on right. 2 left are top -backlight (21) bottom - back or exit from menu (22). The 3 right buttons are top - scroll up (31), middle - menu (32) and bottom -scroll down (33). Now we know the button number here we go.

Hold 22 for 3 sec. You will see current time showing up. Press 33 once -- Setting ---> press 32 once ---> watch time and date ---> press 33 three time ----> general setting shows up ----> press 32 once ----> button sound shows up ---> press 33 twice ---> language shows up --->press 32 once ----> language blinks ----> press 33 or 31 till you see english or your language of choice ---->press 32 once ----> language is set ---->press 22 for 3 sec and you are back to the watch menu. Hope that helps. This will guide you even if you don't understand anything from the language.

My wife asked me to set the time on her watch. She no longer has a manual. Can you help? It is a polar CE0537 Polar Electro and has two side buttons but no button in front. Thank you.

There is a link to download any Polar manual in PDF form in my tips and tricks page.

Are you sure there is no button in front? Polar watches are all activated for exercise recording by a front button. And if it is an A5 as the request and picture show there is definitely a front button.

On the back of the unit, near the upper portion of the backing will be the model number it will be a letter/ number code like A5, M32, etc... The CE0537 is a different coding than the model itself. You will need the model number for the correct manual.

The display is frozen and I can't get the watch to reset. I was beginning exercising and it is frozen on this screen.

If there are no reactions to any buttons, reset the

wrist unit by pressing all the buttons

simultaneously for two seconds. All other settings
except time and date will be saved.

Calrie count stays at zero

I had the same problem and found that the chest strap wasn't tight enough to get a good reading. If that doesn't work, you might have to send it in to have the battery changed. Search for a Polar authorized service center. It gives you some troubleshooting tips too. Good luck.

F6 problems

I just purchased one as well and may be returning it, I don't believe it has a stop watch, which is incredible at this price point as it's a pretty basic feature.

Frozen Display

Hello,

The reset will always solve the issue. It may have been due to Electromagnetic Interference or Static Electricity.

You can press and hold ALL buttons at the same time for 10-15 seconds. After that, simply reset the time/date. All saved information will be stored.

If you are still having a problem feel free to contact Polar Customer Support @ www.polarusa.com.

Hope this helps.
