Is the compressor running? if it is running, but there is no cooling, it is time to buy a new freezer.
If the compressor is NOT running, I would suspect the compressor start relay.
How did you defrost it?
Assuming that the fan in the freezer is working, then your auto defrost system has failed- either the timer or the defrost heater assembly(heater and defrost thermostat)
If every thing has been defrosted it should take about 6 to 8 hrs to fully freeze again now that is also depending on how you have the freezer temp set i would set the temp so that it gets the coldest that it can than after the food has frozen than reset it back to you setting that you had before ok Hope this is very helpful for you Best regards mike
Door has accidentally been left open. Have missed a proper defrost and ice has built up internally. Switch off and do a 12 hour defrost. then switch on again. (Thats where i would start.).Because fan is stuck in the ice, it cant blow cold air to the sensor. Sensor detects this and shows red error light.
The alarm is caused by either temperature disorder, check on your thermostat settings, or it is being caused by unbalanced level of freon gas in the system, or the door of the freezer does not shut correctly.
AFTER A DEFROST,HAVE A GOOD LOOK AT THE DOOR RUBBER. IT MUST BE 100% SEALED FOR A FREEZER. (SHOULD ALSO HEAR A SLIGHT VACUME WHEN DOOR IS SHUT WHEN UP NTO TEMP).ALSO MAKE SURE MOTOR IS SWITCHING OFF AT +/- 20C (TEMP).IF ALLOWED TO RUN CONTINUOUSLY TEMP WILL PULL DOWN TO CREATE EXCESS FROST.
there is a defrost fault - quite common with these hotpoint. fault could lie with the module or stats associated with defrost or possibly the heater itself. most probable is the module but impossible to localize by remote control.
water drains away thro a hole in the centre of the tray underneath the evaporator
