I have a new weathr station and can not get the outside temp. to display what can I do?

I assume it is a wireless station. If so, there is a procedure to go through to get the temperature sender and the base station to sync up and work. You need to check your owners manual to get the exact procedure for your unit. On my station, I have to remove the battery from the base station, let it power up and within 5 minutes, install the battery in the remote station(s) (temperature, rain gauge, wind gauge, etc.). Also, you must keep the remote station within a certain range for the base to get a good signal. Probably 25 feet, but the owners manual will have the right number. Also, use new batteries.

Why can't I receive input from the outside sending unit?

Make sure that all the batteries are good!!
This procedure outlines the typical process to pair the sensor and base.
Base Station Battery Installation

·Remove the printed vinyl label from the LCD screen of the base station
·Position the remote sensor near the base station
·Open the battery compartment at the back of the base station and insert (2) AA batteries according to the polarity markings. Replace the battery compartment cover.
·Within a short time the RF signal icon (located to the left of the outdoor temperature channel indicator) will start flashing. This indicates that the base station is ready to pick up the RF outdoor temperature signal from the remote sensor. It will continue to flash for 3 minutes or until the signal from the remote sensor is detected.

Register the Remote Sensor
·Open the battery compartment at the back of the remote sensor and slide the channel selector switch to your desired channel. For the first remote you may select any channel, for additional remotes select any unused channel
·Insert (2) AAA batteries according to the polarity markings. Be sure to install the batteries in the remote within the time that the RF signal icon is flashing on the base station. 1541 WeatherGuide Wireless Weather Forecaster with Barometer

Oregon Scientific WMR86A wind sensor does not communicate to the base station. It is a new device, first time assembled.

I believe the wind sensor is a rotating cuff that has a wire which needs to input into the main reader or the wifi unit.if it's the wifi unit you need to check the receiver is picking up the signal.if it's the main readout then check the connection.if it is wireless, you may find a switch on the transmitter to change channel.this may fix the problem, especially if the receiver is near other wireless or bluetooth equipment.

Trying to update firmware on y airport extreme but i forgot my password

You need to perform a soft reset of your router. There directions to do this from the Apple web site are:
  1. Connect the AirPort Base Station or Time Capsule to power.
  2. Press and hold the reset button with a pen or pencil for 1 full second, then release it. The light (LED) will begin flashing amber, indicating that the AirPort Base Station or Time Capsule is in soft reset mode.
  3. From the AirPort menu bar item, choose the network created by the AirPort Base Station or Time Capsule (the network name does not change).
  4. Open AirPort Utility in Applications > Utilities on a Mac using Mac OS X, and in Start > All Programs > AirPort on a computer using Windows.
  5. Select the AirPort Base Station or Time Capsule and click Continue.
  6. A window indicating that the device has been reset will appear.
  7. Select "Restore the previous settings" and select OK.
  8. Move through subsequent windows to make changes to your passwords or other settings as desired, clicking Continue after each one.
  9. When you have moved through all of the selection windows you will be able to select Update. Click Update to install the new settings.
  10. Click Continue to allow your AirPort Base Station or Time Capsule to restart.
  11. Quit AirPort Utility.

Power ok but not eht function

Hello

If you have tested the secondary section of the SMPS power supply of your Sony TV, amd found it OK I thinks, and posts this solution.

If the secondary supply rail 125VDC is found ok, just goto to the Horizontal Output Transformer, a small transformer diretly soldered on tho the main board, very near to the Line Output Transformer [LOT], and its secondary winding is connected to the base of the line output transistor, which in turn drives the LOT said above, generates EHT you described.
The base of the line output transitor must get appropriate frequency to switch on and off. This frequenct is gerally comes to 15625Hz. Just measure the voltage across the primary winding of the above said line driver transformer, which can be a possiblity open winding. Check the voltage at the collector point of the line drive transitor connected ti the one end of the primary winding is easy. Then check the voltage at the other end of that winding. There must be a little difference of 2VDC or so, if the line drive section is working, and fault is after that section, that is line output section. If you have a digital multimeter capable of measuring frequency, measure the frequency of the collector point of line drive transtor, and find out whether there is 15625Hz or near to this frequency comming out. Never touch the multimeter prob to the collector of Horizontal Outout Transistor, while it is working. Your meter will get damaged.
Line output section, contains tha LOT said above and line output transitor. If the Line Output Transistor has some sort of leak, normally collector to base leak, it will not drive the LOT to produce EHT and it wlii heat up also.
Just check it heat effect, after switching the set on for a short period of time, say 30 seconds ro so. If it heats up abnormally, suspect the line output transistor and LOT. You just replace the line output transistor first, with same type and number. If it doesn't retify your problem, LOT said abve is faulty, and it also should be replaced with same type and number.
If you have to replace the horizontal output transistor, and the LOT said abve, insist on orginal, and not replace it with a susbstityution, as these are critical components in all TVs..
If you need further assistance, get me through Fixya, and be free to conact me. Ok

Base station won't connect to isp

Change your internal network from 192.168.1.x to 10.0.1.x...many times you find smaller ISP's that use the default address scheme and cause conflicts with the default address used on most routers, etc.
