Where do I add fluid for the tilt trim on evinrude 90hp 2006 motor

The tilt and trim fluid reservoir for a 2006 Evinrude 90hp motor is typically located on the side of the tilt and trim unit, near the bottom of the motor. It may be a small plastic or metal container with a screw cap or plug. To add fluid, first, ensure the motor is in the full tilt-up position and that the tilt and trim system is not in operation. Then, remove the screw cap or plug and add hydraulic fluid until it reaches the full mark on the dipstick or sight glass. Use the recommended fluid type specified in the owner's manual or on the reservoir cap. Finally, replace the screw cap or plug and wipe away any excess fluid. It's recommended to check the fluid level periodically and add more fluid as necessary.

Will low fluid level cause power trim/ tilt go not hold position

Low fluid level will cause it to fail to actuate and not go up or down, can also let it not hold position as well. Filling to proper leevel with specified lubricant is recommended. If you allow the level to go too low, the pump will pull air and could burn out.

Tilt trim go up wont go down 2003 johnson 140 hp 4 stroke

You may want to check service bulletin #2002-052. Some of these motors supply too much voltage to the trim switch at the throttle lever and that trim switch stops working. There is an add-on harness #586806 that fixes this. If you can still tilt and trim the motor at the trim switch that is built into the motor housing this is likely the problem.

I have a 1994 150 hp Yamaha outboard motor with tilt-trim. My motor is stuck in the up tilt position and will not tilt down. It is working when I go up, but not down. I have talked to a used parts dealer...

Stop! Dont replace the pump...I would bet that it is the "down" Solenoid that went haywire. I would begin by replacing the Down solenoid...it is a far easier and cheaper fix and if your pump works to raise the engine then that tells me that it is not faulty. The Down solenoid looks just like a starter solenoid and the one that you are looking to replace has a GREEN wire to it. Yellow with a red stripe is for the starter. Blue wire is the up solenoid. So replace the one with the green wire going to it and I bet it will fix your problem.

Volvo-penta aq271c, trim will go down, but not up.no pwr at relay

First check the switch-- does it have power, then check the solenoid to see if it works-- there are two. One is for down, One is for up. If you get power from the solenoid-- outgoing-- check connections going to pump motor.
