Wow, I've been an installer and salesman in the consumer electronics industry since before the first plasma TV came out (Phillips 42" and Fujitsu 42" in 1996) and this is the first time I've ever seen that kind of an answer. "Take this to a repairman and he can add more plasma" what is the repairman a doctor. If it were that easy no one would ever have to upgrade or replace their screens. You can't add more plasma to a screen, if you don't believe me call Samsung and ask them for yourself like I did. I was actually so dumbfounded by your answer that I called a tech friend of mine at Samsung and asked him, his answer; "does this guy work for you?" I told him no and he said, "I was going to tell you to fire him because that's the dumbest thing I've ever heard anyone tell a customer".
What you need to do is take you plasma TV to an AUTHORIZED Samsung dealer/repair shop and inquire about the hazing/ghosting problem with them. This is usually an issue with the TCP (Tape Carrier Package) on the LCD panel prying loose. You need to wedge something on top of the TCP in the problem area that will apply pressure (rubber or foam. That will do away with the lines.
