I'm a servicer. Dead set. Replaced H. Out Xstr and played for 3 days. I noticed today it shuts down occasionally but comes right back on with normal pix and audio. I suspect IHVT.
Andrews, MCM, Tritronics say IHVT, is no longer available.
More likely a bad solder connect = pull chassis to your bench,
solder any / all bad connects horiz, vert and power...test...
If flyback was bad, it would probably take the HOT quick....
What exact part is HOT ? Did you use first quality replacement?
What is part # and price & source ? Just wondering...........T.

suspect battery problems. THe positive terminal developes a hard black coating inside the lead terminal and around the battery post Remove this using rough sand papaer to a shiny finish on both units . Repeat the operation on the negative terminal. Try the starter again. If still nothing turn on the head lights try again noticing if the head lights go dim. IF they do check if the battery is charged OK then you have a problem in the starter motor IF it works some times and not at others you probably have a dead bar on the communator which means a replacement s-motor
Did the mechanic not check for current drain with an amp meter & see if everything timed out after ignition is off & door closed & was within milli-amp spec
I don't think people explain why they are at a shop or the mechanics have little skill or patience for some issues
Well, you didn't actually ask a question, but let's assume you want to fix the intermittent shutdowns.
I've used XAV500 (it may be called XAV 5001, not sure) and also the newer Netgear powerline adapter commonly called AC1200. Both have the same problem of occasional, intermittent shutdown. The XAV 500 problem seems to be that it goes into "sleep" mode to save energy when it's idle/unused for some X amount of minutes. The problem is that it doesn't wake up again! The only way to overcome it is to unplug it from the AC power outlet for, say, 10 seconds, then plug it back in. I never found a firmware update for this model at Netgear's support website. The newer, faster AC1200 model also intermittently ceases to work. With this one, I simply wait a couple of minutes and it comes back on. If I'm in a hurry, unplugging for 10 seconds also seems to work. Originally, I thought maybe our Router was the problem, but over the years we have replaced that Linksys router (and the ethernet cables) with a model from Western Digital, and more recently with a TP-Link, each being an alleged upgrade on the previous ones! But, the intermittent loss of connectivity continues. The other possibility, of course, is that our internet service provider Comcast/Xfinity has occasional brief outages; maybe some Xfinity installer working elsewhere in the neighborhood turns the service off while connecting or disconnecting something, who knows?
See attached photo: you have a bad color wheel----it turns at about 12,000 rpm and bearings in the tiny motor go bad.
High pitched or fan like sound is classic symptom.
The wheel is available on the internet and You Tube has video instructions by model number for replacing it---Google the model number for the part number for your set to locate the part and instructions.
This for most people is a do it yourself job---takes like 45 minutes start to finish.
If color wheel slows too much set will shut down as its speed is monitored and the wheel can even shatter causing shutdown of the set.
You set the gap at 20 sould be 16,a hesitation or occasional miss is not from the points or condensor, its from the craburator, its a power valve or your float getting the hesitation can be the secondary not feeding at wide open throttle, the carburator is faulty, and plus todays fuel is not meant for carburators
hi..Seems like your Power Supply went dead or either a faulty button..
Since those are touch pads those sometimes wear out. Another issue
could be due to overheating..
call ge there is a replacement program for the 05-06 sxs motherboard issue call 800-386-1215 to see if your machine is one of the machines in this program you will need the serial number of the ref before you call
