Abs sensors were submerged in water and light stays on

Try to get the fault codes and checked what codes does it means

have you use any sort of spray to make sure all water is out of socket ? some lights need turning off with diagnostics

if every thing is correct and working the abs light will go out. i would start at the connection to the abs unit check the plug for water ingest and white res on the connections. clean this off. most problems are connection related.

ABS light comes on with ignition then should go off when you start the car.
If abs sensor does not turn off after disconnecting the battery, then there is a real problem, a faulty sensor or ABS malfunctioning.

there is a short in system is the abs or brake light on if bothe are on you may have a shorted wheel speed sensor

Its not your brake pads. It is your ABS system. Only dealers are certified to work on the ABS systems. I would check all of your fuses prior to sending it to the dealership. You probaby have a bad sensor. Have you drove through water over your bumpers? IF so, then just take it to the dealer because you have shorted a sensor.

have you had abs system checked with a scan tool?if you cannot communicate with abs module with a scanner,there is main power feed circuit that corrodes under fuse block underhood..also have seen corroded wires near abs module over top of transmission..if you have communication..you may have a speed sensor fault..if a front sensor,check wiring behind splash shields in fenderwells,if rear sensor fault,most likely sensor is defective..also check for water intrusion into rear wheel bearings by removing sensor from hub unit

probably the shuttle valve in the ABS unit is defective, solution renew shuttle valve, dont let dealership sell you a new ABS unit very expensive

the abs relay may be bad
