Hi my mom was using her new processor she got today and she put onions in when she noticed it pureed them and left chunks?

When you are trying to chop things in the magic bullet make sure that you use short pulsing movements, don't just hold it down. This will make things go mushy instead.

This is the advice they give on their website:
http://www.buythebullet.com/
You may be over processing your food by letting your Magic Bullet slip into Lock On Mode (see video demonstration of Lock On Mode) when you should be using the Pulse Technique (see video demonstration of the Pulsing Technique). Please read the Pulse Technique instructions on page 15 of the user manual or follow the steps shown in these video demonstrations and you'll be making perfect chopped onion, salsa and all your favorite textured foods in no time.

I have a small Cuisinart food processor and I cannot figure out how to turn it on. It has two levers low and high. I have it plugged in and the lid on? Please help. Fiona Slattery 858-752-8591

Hi,

Your PowerBlend Duet™ comes with a food processor button. This button is the perfect speed for all your food processing tasks. Always use this speed when using the food processor. You may also use the Pulse button with this function for pulse-chopping.
To use your food processor, make sure that the bowl is assembled properly and the blade or slicing/shredding disc and the cover are locked into place.
When you use the control panel, the LED will light next to each button you press.
Press the On button. For continuous operation, press the Food Processor button. Motor will start if you have followed assembly instructions.
To turn motor off, press the Food Processor button again or the Off button.
For on/off operation, called pulse-chopping or pulsing, press the On button, press the Pulse button, and then press and release the
Food Processor button the desired number of times. Motor runs as long as you hold the Food Processor button down. The motor stops when you release control switch. Try it a few times.
You control the duration and frequency of pulses by the length of time you hold the Food Processor button down and the rate at which you press it. Pulses should be short bursts. Allow enough time between pulses to let food in work bowl fall to bottom.
Always use the Food Processor button for pulse/chopping. Never turn cover back and forth to start and stop processor.

Tried to use my powerprep pluss cuisinart food processor and nothing happens. The on button lights up but nothing happens when i press the pulse button.

Remove the work bowl from the base of the food processor, and separate the bowl, lid, and pusher sleeve.
Plug the base into the wall outlet, turn the food processor ON, and then use a pen to press in the dark grey or black button on top of the base of the food processor - if you hear some kind of noise, then your motor is still good.
Put the work bowl on first, with the handle facing the front of the food processor.
Put the lid on, with the lid lined up with the handle of the work bowl.
Put the pusher sleeve in the lid, with the metal piece facing the front of the processor.
Your processor should now turn on.

If it doesn't call Cuisinart and see if you are still in-warranty (3-year warranty).

Good luck!

None of the buttons work on my Power Prep Pulse 11-CUP

Remove the work bowl from the base of the food processor, and separate the bowl, lid, and pusher sleeve.
Plug the base into the wall outlet, turn the food processor ON, and then use a pen to press in the dark grey or black button on top of the base of the food processor - if you hear some kind of noise, then your motor is still good.
Put the work bowl on first, with the handle facing the front of the food processor.
Put the lid on, with the hollow feed tube facing the back of the processor.
Put the pusher sleeve in the lid, with the sliding lock switch facing the front of the processor.
Your processor should now turn on.

If your food processor still does not turn on, call Cuisinart and see if you are eligible for an in-warranty repair - it has a 3-year warranty.

Good luck!

Grind beef for chili?

The food processor will pulverize the beef in seconds if you do not pulse it. Really, the food processor will tend to make the beef very fine. You can use the 3mm or 4mm slicing disc to make more of a ground beef (noodle-like) cut.
