Question about SanDisk Sansa Clip MP3 Player

1 Answer

My sansa clip won't play the songs I loaded on!

I got my sansa clip about 6 mo. ago and up till now it's worked fine. the other day i turned it on, went to the home screen, and selected music-play all. when the first song came up on the screen, it was paused. so i pressed play/pause, and nothing happened! no sound came out and the song track bar wasn't moving. i can still listen to fm radio but just not music. i've tried holding in the play/pause button and also the power up button. nothing works!

I've had this happen a couple of times in the last 6 months. You can get it to play again by chosing the format option from the settings menu. Of course, then you've lost everything you had loaded on to it. Download your music/audio books again and they will play.

Sansa Clip won't turn off right? push up power button and hold it for 10 to 20 second, your device will turn off now.
After that, you should update your new firmware from sandisk forum, you should check Sansa Clip or Sansa Clip+ from the following web,

Good luck

Empty Song Folder - I followed the instructions from the quick start guide to to load music onto my sansa clip 1gb mp3 player and it shows that it copied it to my player but once I disconnect the usb from...

The songs are in the wrong format. They probably have a restrictive DRM license that limits playback on mp3 players (although the songs may play fine on your computer). iTunes format will not work at all. The best way to avoid a problem like this is to only use songs that are in mp3 format.

Sansa Clip 2gb only plays parts of songs

The songs you have loaded have a restrictive license on them that only allows full playback on a computer, not on an mp3 player. If you only download songs in mp3 format, you will never have this problem.

u have to wait till the screen will be black. I had the same problem with my sansa. it can lasts 1 or 2 days. after screen is black and then do following: 2. change lock switch to orange position 3. Press and hold rec button (at left side) 4. while pressing the rec button, turn the player on 5. it will appear the boot menu. connect the USB cable and try to continue the firmware 6. if it doesn't work, do a firmware downgrade. download this file: http://www.sandisk.com/Assets/File/Downloads/firmware/e200fw01.00.12.exe 7. execute the application while in boot mode good luck darek
