It is possible that a relay on the control board is bad. GE has a relay in the common circuit to the bake and broil element. this has been a problem in a few ovens I have repaired. Check for this it is usually an orange relay on the board.

Jenn air svd46800 oven not working

Good Afternoon,
The control boards in your appliance may have failed. There is a display board, part number 71001799 and relay board part number 12001693. Commonly we see transformers on these relay boards fail with power surges. Luckily, we do test and repair these parts. Remanufacturing these controls will save you the high cost of buying new, and each rebuild will come with a 2 year warranty-- which is three times longer than new. Email me if you have any questions! My oven says F7 with a constant beeping sound every minute on the minute. How do I get it to stop and what does it mean?

Hi,
The code can be caused by a faulty keypad or a Stuck keypad which may mean relay is turned on. Determine if problem is with the Key Panel or Control by:
1. Pushing CLEAR/OFF pad.
2. Disconnecting Ribbon Cable from control and waiting at least 32 seconds to see if Code recurs

If code recurs, problem is in the control. Replace control.

If code does not recur, problem is with the Key Panel. :

On the 99 Range oven F7 indicates a shorted Clear/Off Key due to membrane switch or a shorted control or connector

Oven does not start

This is an update from James758. When I pressed the temp sensor probe and wiggled it a bit, sometimes the oven would work, but then it failed permanently after a few days. Had to call a repairman who charged $325 to replace the entire electronic panel and the separate sensor, although the failed part was only a relay on the board according to him. He also found a pinched wire when he pulled the oven out (one new electronic board relay failed when he first replaced it). Don't know how the wire to the sensor got pinched since the oven worked for 8 years without us moving that hidden wire. By the way, buying the sensor at a parts store in town was $18 versus his cost to us of $49. I'm sure the electronic board would also be much cheaper online. My wife watched the repairman replace the parts; you can save a lot of money doing it yourself.

GE Stove:

The symptoms suggest that the control relay has welded contacts. This was a result of the element failure producing a surge of current. You will need to replace the electronic control. Another possibility is to contact the folks at www.cgiltd.com.
They offer a repair service.
