POSSESSED MICROWAVE! I had just got home from work and was startled to hear my microwave beeping by itself. Did not respond to pressing any buttons. Then it very slowly began to display 6...6...6. I was so freaked out, the beeping became more random like it was really possessed! I have unplugged it, let it sit overnight, and it's still doing it. Will let me use the microwave, but starts beeping randomly while cooking food. So annoying. And I can't add time or interrupt it while it is running, makes the microwave mad and then it doesn't respond to pressing buttons. What nutjob designed this thing to display 666? Chefmate is inexpensive for a reason, it's ****!

A microwave oven that is not grounded will sometimes behave this way. Make sure it is plugged into a grounded outlet, and that the outlet is actually grounded.

Wow.......... an exorcism may be in order.......Sadly your microwave circuitry is malfunctioning which is a costly repair. I would seriously consider trashing that possessed unit and purchasing a new one. the new ones are greener too, use quite a bit less electricity

I have GE JVM1540DN1BB microwawe. It beeps all the time and says "keypad sorted" and service needed. The beep sound is annoying and it beeps every 30 seconds

see this causes and fix it. God bless you
Touchpad and Control Panel If the microwave buttons don't work the touchpad and control panel assembly are probably defective
Touchpad If the microwave buttons don't work the touchpad might be at fault. Generally speaking, if the display is working and some of the buttons respond correctly but some don't, the problem is with the touchpad.
User Control and Display Board If the microwave buttons don't work the main control board is most likely defective and will need to be replaced.

Beeps twice upon releasing any button and does not do anything... What could cause this and is there a fix?

The problem is in the keypad control board, or smart board. Consideration should be given to replace the microwave oven, because the cost to repair can not be justified.

Hi there, I've just moved into a new apartment and the Samsung Timesaver microwave seemed to be working fine yesterday, but it has been beeping at odd times for no reason. I turned the power off to stop...

Hi, this is usually a bad touchpad. The way to tell for sure is to kill power to the unit, take the control panel down and unplug the ribbon connector that connects touchpanel to the clock. Put it back together and reapply power. The clock will just sit there blinking and, obviously, the buttons won't work, either. if the beeping stops, then the touch panel is bad. And If it still beeps, then you have a bad clock.

What is the code for unlocking the radarange ?

If the childproof lock has been set and you want it off, press and hold the "0" button for four seconds. You will then hear a beep-beep and your microwave is ready to use again.

Chefmate microwave oven won't start, only flashes numbers.

Well I had the same problem. It made me start unplugging a microwave when it wasn't in use, which is always a plus.
When it does the whole 6666 thing, press 5 and then stop/reset. It usually allows me to input what I want after that.
Good luck people.

Sylvania p70d20al-d5 microwave keeps beeping

I have the same problem with my microwave, the clock disappears and it says "enter" and "amt", I figured out it's the "beverage" button that is sticking. When I want to use it I just press "beverage" and then "reset" and just press them over and over until it stops. Usually it's on the first try, sometimes I have to press them a few times. Just don't do what I'm about to type though, I decided to get my razor knife and cut the button out carefully, I only cut the contacts on each side of the button, now no buttons work, I should have left it the way it was, at least I could use it that way.
