My thermador microwave MBBS FD830600 JUNE 2003 completely quit working. Repair man said it's not fixable. It's a 3 piece unit-microwave, warming drawer, and oven. What can replace it?

I have a Thermador 3 unit built in-microwave, warming drawer, and oven. Model MBBS Serial number FD830600308 JUNE 2003. It completely stopped working. A repair man said it was a fuse and there are no replacement parts. Is there a microwave that would fit in the space, or where can I get new part?

I spent the better part of three days trying to find a microwave that will fit and it's hard because so many are on line only. Last night I successfully installed the 2.2 cu. ft. GE profile counter top unit with inverter technology. The unit is an exact match, the Thermador even fits in the GE box with the styrofoam! I installed the venting materials for the side and rear vents and the platform at the bottom. I put the clips and decorative molding on and it's perfect! I found it in stock at Lowe's for $198. I took me about 45 minutes total to install. If I can do it, anyone can - 48 year old mom with 5 kids!

easy...first thought it was a program glitch. turntable could be turned off manually. nope ...just a bad motor needed replacement

I just successfully replaced a Thermadore MBBS microwave with an LG Model #LMC2075ST (Lowes stock number 728040). It was close to a perfect fit into the Thermadore trim kit and attachments, and very easy install. The LG was only $169 on sale at Lowes, and is, by far, a superior microwave to the old MBBS model.

Replacement or fix
just replaced our 6 year old Thermador MBBS ($750) with a GE JES2051SNSS from Home Depot ($179). The bottom guide piece from the Thermador bolted right on the bottom of the GE and positioned the new unit so the front trim piece fit perfectly.

Is there a replacement microwave for thermador MBBS that fits MT30S trim kit?
Thermador doesn't make one, but we found the GE JEB1860SM1SS from Home Depot fit perfectly. For only $259. The repair to fix our Thermador was $618. It was only 5 years old. I couldn't believe it already went out. I won't be buying anymore Thermador appliances.

How old is the wall unit? Sometimes it may be easier to repair than to find a replacement, and microwaves are fairly easy to fix.

Same issue with my Thermador Microwave!
You may want to look into the possibility of a "panasonic" (specifically a "genius" model) microwave unit that should fit there nicely. most of those Thermador 3 component units had the m/w built by panasonic. (though you'll not get them to tell you that)

I'd like to add, I find it unlikely your's is "burned beyond repair". what is the problem, if you'd care to elaborate.
Perhaps your m/w can be saved, or revived.

you need a new magnetron and inverter board, this is an expensive repair, unit can be replaced with panasonic parts or replaced with same size panasonic unit
