Snow blowers generally do not have these filters. I guess they assume there is not too much dust around when you are blowing snow,

SOURCE: Troy-bilt storm 2840 fuel line not getting fuel to carburetor

Gasoline brakes down over time. What happens all the things the facilities uses to make gas separates and you end up with all the bad stuff. You may need to remove fuel tank and clean it out plus the carb may need the same thing done to. If you have to clean the carb get a rebuild kit. It's easy to rebuild but you may need to take the carb with you so they can get the numbers of it to make sure you get the right kit.

Testimonial: "Thanks for the response. I went back to work on the machine and was able to remove a couple of the plates protecting the fuel line and carb. Turns out what I thought was the fuel line to the carb was actually the choke line! I found the fuel line from the tank and bled out all of the fuel from the tank. After adding fresh fuel, the darn thing cranked right up!"

I have a Husqvarna 125 BV blower and the fuel bubble won't prime my engine to start. I checked the fuel hoses and they look good

If the fuel bubble on your Husqvarna 125 BV blower is not priming the engine to start, there could be a few potential issues causing this problem. Some possible causes include:
  1. A clogged fuel filter: The fuel filter is responsible for removing dirt and debris from the fuel before it reaches the carburetor. If the filter is clogged, it can restrict fuel flow and prevent the engine from starting.
  2. A clogged carburetor: The carburetor is responsible for mixing fuel and air to create the combustion that powers the engine. If the carburetor is clogged, it can restrict fuel flow and prevent the engine from starting.
  3. A problem with the fuel line: If the fuel line is kinked, pinched, or has a leak, it can restrict fuel flow and prevent the engine from starting.
  4. A problem with the fuel tank: If the fuel tank is not properly sealed, it can allow air into the fuel system and prevent the engine from starting.
  5. A problem with the primer bulb: If the primer bulb is not functioning properly, it can prevent fuel from reaching the carburetor.
It's recommended to check the fuel filter, carburetor, fuel line, fuel tank and primer bulb. Clean or replace them as necessary. It's important to consult the operator's manual for specific troubleshooting instructions and diagrams for your blower model, as the location and procedure may vary depending on the make and model. It's also important to consult the operator's manual for safety instructions, and to make sure you have the correct parts for your blower.
It's recommended to seek the help of a qualified technician if you are not familiar with this process.

Won stay running

Check carburetor & air filter. Clean off all dirt and clean air filter. check age of gas. Cannot be more than 30 days old. Make sure to use fresh gas w/synthetic 2-cycle oil @ 40:1 ratio (1 gal.) Gas to 3.2 oz. Oil). Do not use old or stale oil/gas mixture. Before putting in fresh fuel, press the primer several times. A small amount of gas might show up in the fuel tank. Remove fuel. With carburetor cleaner, spray carburetor. Put in small amount of fresh fuel. Just enough to cover the fuel filter. Then press primer with fuel cap off, and watch to see if fuel is flowing smoothly. If not or if plastic primer bubble does not come back to original shape after pressing, then you have to take carburetor apart and clean or get new carburetor.

Was working for approximately one hour. Engine came to a stop. Primed many times but spark plug is very dry. Looks like gas is not getting to spark plug.

you probably have a blockage of either the fuel line or the carburetor.

I recommend first disconnecting the fuel line and seeing if fuel drains out. If it does then you should clean the carburetor.

Pick up some carburetor cleaner from the parts store and pull the carb off (its located between the air filter box and the engine.

It should come off with just a few screws/bolts. Take the carb apart and clean everything well with carb cleaner. Put it back together and back on the engine. You should be able to get fuel to the cylinder now.

Starts runs 10 seconds stalls down to stop

Sounds as if you are priming it fine or starting on full choke and then the machine stalls. After the initial fuel charge is exhausted the unit is incapable of replenishment.

I would replace the diaphragms within the carburetor as they become stiff with age and become ineffective. Additionally, remove the muffler and insure that it is clear and not closed off with insect nests or carbon build-up. Other things to try:

1. check all fuel lines for cracking,
2. check air filter and clean as necessary.
3. check fuel filter contained within the carburetor as it can also become clogged.

Should work!

Weedeater blower will not prime

The primer bulb sucks fuel from the tank to the carb. When the carb has enough fuel the remainder is sent back to the tank. When you replaced the fuel line did you use the exact length of line and did you re-install the filter. On some of the trimmers the filter is weighted and holds the line in the fuel. Good luck...Lee
