When I try to load it on my pc it just goes to notebook. it is a 10 pack

It sounds to me like you requre Win'XP Service Pack 3.
If you are using Service Pack 2 or earlier, there is no
SATA support which is why the HDD is not recognized.

Get Service Pack 3 and your problems will be solved.

HOw does BIOS work, ? good? all sceens look ok, /?

if the PC is dead, with no battery , with power pack only used,
then see here, for black screens, or dead BIOS.

tryt to do this

1.unplug the ac adapter
2.remove the battery
3.press the power for 30 secs
4.plug the ac adapter back in and after few secs try to turn it on

I would suggest a factory restore to fix the problem. If you have data on the computer that needs saving then do this first, if unable to do this then take to a computer shop to have it done for you.

try to turn off the pc

remove cables and battery

press and hold the power button for 10 seconds

then reinsert the cables and battery

turn on the pc

if symptoms persist call your pc manufacturer..

Try repairing the startup problem using the bootable disc.
If still it doesnt work try restoring your PC using the bootable disc to the point before installing the service pack.
Else you will have to reinstall the OS.

Try installing K-lite codec pack in the system. It comes with Media player classic as well. It works real good. Might be of some help to you. Below is the link to download K-lite codec pack. Try boot the PC without the battery pack, I've seen boot up problem related to faulty battery pack.
