SOURCE: no sound for lcd monitor stereo speaker

You need to plug the 3.55mm audio cable on to the computer (usually the green line-in) and on to your monitor's audio line in. Hope this helps.6b3b672.jpg

When I turned on my monitor this monring it is making a loud clicking noise every couple of seconds.

I was having this same problem with my monitor for days and it was driving me nuts, and being in IT not being able to solve it was even worse. My Viewsonic is a VA2232wm with built in speakers, I muted the speakers on the computer and using the control buttons on the monitor with no luck, it was still clicking. I move my laptop to and from my desk all the time and everything goes to the monitor via a USB docking station except for the audio. The audio cable I have to plug in separately. In my haste, the last time I connected the audio cable to my laptop, I put it in the microphone jack instead of the speaker jack. Once I moved it to the right jack, the problem was solved. Not sure if this will resolve your problem or not, but I hope it helps.

Hi , I own a viewsonic LCD monitor model va1912w. My system has Windows XP. There is no sound from the monitor even after connecting the sound cable from CPU to monitor's audio jack. I have already...

Try the above link for Vista or XP drivers which may be used with Windows 7 in some cases.

The va1912wb came up when I searched under 1912.

This driver is available directly from the viewsonic.com site.

Uninstall the other driver if possible.

Sound

If your monitor have inbuilt speaker, then you need not to plug it, because the monitor cable will work for that. I have ViewSonic 19" with inbuilt speaker and its working without any extra cable or connection.

Thanks
