Can I program a Sony AV system remote to control my pioneer pd 505?

if closing the tray will not bring the optical lens assembly up prior to spinning, the belt may be worn.

MOST LIKELY IT SOUNDS LIKE THE MOTOR THAT SPINS THE DISC - NEEDS REPLACING

I don't have the service manual with me at the moment and I'm on the road. I'll look up the error code and update this somtime tomorrow.

Few things either cd,s are not compatible

laser has died or laser ribbon cable is broken

Ribbon cable track(s) from pcb to laser assembly brocken
First - check all tracks for continuety, before suspecting motor or laser assembly.
