Printed one page, power light went off, printer stopped working. Checked power lead - it's fine !

If you have this setup on a network cable, the User interface (IP address of printer) should allow you to see this in the admin panel.

SOURCE: printer says check cable. Cable checked is fine

Make sure the USB cable goes DIRECTLY to the computer and not via a USB hub or anything similar

Also try another cable preferably shorter if you can as not all USB cables are the same even though they should be.

Remove as many other USB devices as you can PRIOR to the above steps and then try.

Also double check you dont have two copies of the printer installed as this is another common error.
