Top causes on all PCs (desktop only)
NO PC model told the service tag on any of 6 sides tells what it is.

  1. the HDD is bad, we test it. ask now
  2. the OS NOT TOLD IS CORRUPTED, XP ALWAYS IS.
  3. THE UNSTATED PC MODEL COIN CELL IS DEAD.
  4. BIOS Seeing any HDD only proves it can report its name, nothing more so we run free SMART tests from year 2001 to now.
  5. this is not strange at all , ALL HDD FAIL about 5 years old. or shorter if it overheats. ALL do not one ever lasts. long.
  6. Long means over 50 years old like those chip can do easy. see?
  7. 10x less life span. facts.
there are 3 ways to test any HDD.
A: move it to a good PC on 2nd Sata port and test it.
B move it to 2nd PC and use USB to SATA docking bay and test it.
C: boot the dead PC, to linux and run disk check

A or B
use ,free and 100% safe.
https://www.passmark.com/products/diskcheckup/

C: use Ubuntu demo media (DVD or USB thumb drive) 100% safe.

NO PC told.
the coin cell must be not below 2.9vdc or is bad,
2.9vdc is the point of "deathh cliff" EOL. (sic)+

PXE-E61 ERROR
The error PXE-E61: Media test failure usually means the hard disk has failed or the hard disk needs re-seating or the disk controller is faulty.
First - re-seat the hard disk and reboot the computer. If this does not work then reboot and go to the BIOS configuration to see if the BIOS detects the hard drive. If it doesn't detect the hard drive then it could be faulty.
Next - to determine if the hard drive is faulty, remove the hard drive and insert it into an USB hard drive adapter and connect it to a working computer's USB port. If this computer cannot see it as an USB mass storage device (external hard drive) and you cannot open the various folders and files, this confirms the hard drive is faulty.
The hard drive needs to be replaced in the laptop or desktop computer and Windows installed including the laptop or computer's device drivers plus your programs etc. to get a functioning laptop or desktop computer again.

Operating system not found

Hi Roderick Sykes:

You need to Verify your BIOS:
Verify the computer's BIOS settings to make sure that BIOS lists and recognizes the hard disk. See the computer documentation or contact the hardware manufacturer for information about how to verify the BIOS settings.

After you verify that the computer's BIOS detects the hard disk, restart the computer, and then test to determine whether the issue is resolved. If the issue is not resolved, or if the computer's BIOS cannot detect the hard disk, you may have issues with your hardware. Contact the hardware manufacturer to inquire about how to resolve this issue. You may have to replace the hard disk.

Also use a system utilty software like RegInOut to avoid such type of errors in future.

Hope this solution works for you.

When compuetr starts no boot device available but BIOS seen

If there is no HDD or any other boot device the BIOS will always be present. This problem occurs if you haven't installed any Operating System on the HDD. So when the computer is booting it finds no booting device files and that's why showing error message. Format your HDD and install OS to boot smoothly. But if you have HDD with OS still this error happening then it might be a reason of corrupt system files which are required during booting or it may be the case that your HDD is damaged and cannot boot from there. If your HDD is damaged and still showing on the BIOS it may happen because it is detecting as a device but the as the device is damaged is cannot boot from it. Check these steps to solve your issue.

Pxe-e61 meida cable error

PXE-061 error also know as a "PIXEY" erroroccurs when the system cannot find a bootable device and attempts and FAILs to boot from the Network Adapter. Most newer computer network cards have the ability to boot to an operating system thru the network (A function generally only available over large domain networks).

In your case, the most likely senario is that the hard disk drive has failed.

If this is a portable system, remove and reseat the hard drive, then boot to the SYSTEM BIOS and see if the drive is detected.

If this is a desktop/tower system, open chassis, reseat the power and data cables to the hard drive, then see if the drive is seen in the BIOS.

Ensure the hard drive is the 1st in the boot sequence.

If the system still will not boot to the hard drive, time to replace the hard drive.
