When I turn it on it says launch error. an wont go no further. can u help

The user profile may be corrupt. After it boots up, try pressing CTRL+ALT+DEL and see if a menu comes up that allows you to start the task manager. If it does allow you to start the task manager, you can try clicking "File" then "New Task" then type "explorer.exe" and then click OK to see if it brings up a desktop. You can also type "iexplore.exe" and see if it launches the browser. If any of this works, then use the task manager to launch "control.exe" (control panel) and use it to create an new administrator account if you only have one account active. Then restart the machine and log in as the new user you just created and see if it loads the desktop. If this is successful you can just use the new account and copy any files needed from the old corrupted profile.

Another thing to try if you can invoke explorer.exe is to open My Computer, right-click on the system drive and try and run the disk error check from the tools tab. It will tell you it cannot do so and ask if you want to schedule the check for the next time Window is started. Select "automatically fix errors" and check OK. Restart the machine and see if the disk checking utility finds and corrects the problem.

The file you have downloaded is OK. The problem is with your PC.
When you double-click an .EXE file, the program may not launch, instead it may open in Notepad (displaying the .exe contents), or may launch in any other application like notepad. It is due to the incorrect .exe file association caused accidentally or probably due to a virus activity and you get the result similar to the following:


SOLUTION
Download EXEFIX-XP
EXE-FIX (VISTA) OR EXEFIX-VISTA
EXEFIX utility and save to Desktop. Double-click the file to run it. This utility fixes the .exe file association in the registry automatically.

You may also use REGISTRY PATCH (for Windows XP)

YES yes yes, i went to C:\Users\(your profile name here)\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\Application and renamed the file from chrome.exe to whatever.exe, note you wonte see the .exe but the file is the application or executable file. I did the change went to my desktop launched it and Oh yea it works baby.

Tried the -no-sandbox it didn't work, plus there is a security issue.

Sometimes the drives don't automatically recognize cd's (assuming your using CD). Usually remembers last command which can vary from setup.exe, autorun etc. so if a new CD is inserted with diff. program launch, it can go dumb. You can go to "My computer" and double click on your CD drive (with the game cd inserted) and look for setup.exe or install.exe or autorun. Double-click on one of those files to launch the installer.

I would bet from the error the driver is not setup to run on 64 bit VISTA, or there is a Driver from Microsoft for this printer (Which I could not find), or one of VISTA' windows updates has caused this error.

My Solution is to uninstall it becauseit is not designed to work with VISTA 64.

This happens when the language files stored in your Jensen's memory get damaged. The Sat Nav system will look for new language files on your USB memory, and return the error.


Often the problem happens because you formatted the disk.


I suggest to start trying to set language to English.

In theory you are supposed to restore the flash image from original CD or computer backup.



A first attempt to fix the problem can be done resetting the Sat Nav. Just take out the battery for ten seconds.


If you have the original CD, files to be restored are in the IGO folder, and must be copied into the flash disk.


Files to be copied are

• igolaunch.exe
• IGOPATH.TXT
• SettingsBackup.ini
• TAHOMA.TTF
• TAHOMABD.TTF

If that does not work, contact Jensen/Audiovox clicking here, they will enable a download of the language files to replace the damaged ones.

enter in C and program files and find launch menager.exe under launc menager folder. double click the exe files and you will see  it will disspear.
